Lame. They already cost enough. Profit margins are very high. And cost to build goes down the entire life cycle of the device. I’m all about business and profit, but this seems unnecessary.

I doubt this. Mac Pro just needs it sounds silicon. 12 core CPU configurable to 60. 32 core GPU configurable to 256. Up to 2TB RAM.

That tracks with M1 to M2 release. Just over 18 months. Would make sense to have M3 by end of this year and other variants in pro by fallish of next.
