  • Mark Zuckerberg joins Tim Cook in calls for privacy, electoral integrity legislation

Shows the GDPR isn't the solution people thought it was going to be. It's a nice copout though, FB (and others) know there isn't a snowball's chance that global rules will be adopted. That allows them to say 'Well we are open to being regulated just not piecemeal' If only FB would go the MySpace route...

  • Huawei sues U.S. government, says purchasing ban unconstitutional

Well, I'll take a pass on Chinese networking gear. Though, if they follow the standard set by the Five Eyes governments, even your home router can have non-standard things in them. 'Course, if you never reset the default password, it really doesn't matter...

Another sign of Apple's quality control at its best! /s

I hope Apple can turn their quality issues, both software and hardware around soon. The old "It just works" has been a thing of the past for too long now.

Yes, I am aware that Apple's hardware and software was never perfect, but neither were they the clusterfuck of problems that they are now.
Oh go suck on a sour pickle. I’ve been around and owned Apple products since 1982 and the issues are about the same as they’ve always been. Meanwhile the majority of users don’t have any problems to speak of. Audio interface hardware is one of the quirkiest products out there with manufacturers tweeking where they shouldn’t be tweeking. And where were these hardware manufacturers during the beta testing period? Why didn’t they test their gear with T2 equipped machines? Why didn’t the aforementioned “professional” users test before upgrading? Why did they assume all would be well? They’re professionals, right?
Blame may fall anywhere but on Apple, eh? They are omnipotent in their being. All shall look away when Apple shows its full glory. Give it a rest sport.

  • Apple in 2019 and the case of the expensive iPhone

I read these things because I like to see just how far websites will go in cherry picking and then twisting data. The fact is, Apple and Samsung have miscalculated the price customers are willing to pay. Sure, there are always loyal consumers who will gulp hard and plunk their cash down. But, that is no way to grow, only to wait for something to come along and upend your cash cow. For Samsung, I'm sure they would rather make money off the mobile sector. But they have other sources of income as a company. Apple? Not so much. You know, the thing keeping a lot of people I know on an iPhone isn't privacy, etc. It's the Watch. Never let the Watch be a standalone or compatible with Android device.
