That is what got a doctor killed because he believed in the right of women to have choice, and others do not agree with that belief.

We elect politicians to represent us, judges to interpret the law, the police and other arms of the law to enforce the law, lawyers to defend or prosecute the accused. It is not perfect but if we have no trust in the system, what alternative do we propose?

Politics is a funny thing. Multi-variable equation are hard for most people. Many have a hard time adding 3 digit numbers or multiplying 2 digit numbers in their head. Which is why people need sex offender registries to tell them who the offenders are and whine and scream when you take away their calculator. If only people could think.

I disagree with Apple on many things.

I disagree with your (assuming) choice that people shouldn't own guns.

I agree with you that publishing such data is about as dumb as can be too.

$100 in my state gets you the whole list, with all the information people put down, private phone numbers etc. What do you get for your $100, the knowledge of where to go collect a lot of guns, or a good start of which houses not to rob. Or, like the sign I once saw in someone's front lawn "MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR WANTS TO BAN ALL GUNS! THEIR HOUSE IS NOT ARMED. I PROMISE NOT TO USE MY GUNS TO HELP PROTECT THEM!"

Fact, because of a law, many people are at higher risk of physical harm because and the populous lets this continue. SEEING THE DISCUSSION HERE HAS GIVEN ME HOPE that there really are a lot of other thinking people in the world and country.

This is supposed to be the 21st Century.

I missed the memo where everyone wore diapers in the 21st century.

really? Would Apple also be liable for those people who are hurt who couldn't afford an iphone with means to access that crucial app?

Huh... well, it looks like the app is back on the App Store. A quick search shows "Offender Locator" and "Offender Locator Lite," both of which are available. I just tried downloading the lite version and it succeeded.

Listen, I know Apple's policies aren't the best, and I'm still lementing the rejection of Google's Voice app, but to assume that Apple is at fault for pulling the application is jumping to conclusions. How do we know the developer himself didn't terminate the application, then brought it back after all this coverage? I never heard of the app before today.

    Anyway, its back.

Oh. Yup. I personally feel it's a stupid app.
