I think this tae be a grand idea, tae be fully supported. I will have nae hesitation in rowing a' the way across the Atlantic tae AppleInsider Headquarters that I might obtain one o' these maist precious and desirable o' garments. Alas - speaking from my new position as Sir Mac the soon-tae-be bankrupt o' the Isles, and thus being sans the necessary $, I wonder if I might offer something o' a quid pro quo by making available some sartorially slanted authentic Isles merchandise o' my own: slimline badgerhair sporrans, seaweed encrusted socks, pub stained kilts, et al. (Caveat emptor. Buyer collects. Nae returns.)
What aboot the oft mooted AI calendar though, wi' a' those handsome AI lads and lassies for each month o' the year in full hexachromatic comliness? I wid happliy pose on the cover in little mare than my wee tartan socks and AI T-shirt just tae get it underway.

For some reason, I thought this thread was about AI [I]the film[/I ? you know the one, with that Haley Joel robot boy. But AppleInsider does make a lot more sense, not that I come to think of it
This may all have something to do with the fact that it's now past 1am on this side of the Big Water. The stars are twinkling, the moon is riding high over the heather-draped moors and it's time for The Blue Meanie to catch the snoozeland expresszzzzz
I hate to be the fly in the ointment of good vibes, but until AI starts acting like a website with content insead of just a forum for the obsessed, then I won't buy anything.
It'd be like saying: "Support AI! Even though they don't actually do anything!"

To avoid starting a separate thread, I want to know how I can get a design printed on a plain t-shirt. I have the design in mind and I bought a few plain grey t shirts so I wanna do this.

Perhaps you've missed something.
All AI is is a community, now.
There is no content. You come here for the community. A T-shirt is not to make profit or support the site; it's to show your membership in the community.
Apparently you don't get that concept though. There is no front page. There won't ever be a front page again. There may be some manner of 'member submissions' etc... but not a defined front page.
AI doesn't make any money. (Ad revenue for MacNN aside- that's minimal.)
You should be grateful that we have this forum.

I'm pretty sure kinkos will do it for you, or some other printshop type place
Here's a wee, humbly tentative suggestion for the Tshirt....
The material should be bright silver metallic spandex wi' the AppleInsider logo set above the words "TRUTH, JUSTICE and GROOVINESS": the values for which AI is renowned the world ower. The letters could be metallic gold or blood red. Garment must be skin tight tae better expose the rippling torsos o' these knights and knightesses o' applehood.
Mr Meanie.... I trust you are being well and groovy. Aye - I have shuggled ower the final financial precipice and my worldly goods may soon be mere playthings and baubles o' the bailiffs and creditors. But so that my wee barstool at the back o' this illustrious forum o' fruitocentric fulmination should not grow altogether cauld I have arranged that my 7200 be submerged under the swirling surface o' the septic tank; being hauled up on a peice o' fishing line only when the coast is clear. They may tak' my freedom but they'll never tak' my Mac or my title or my AI Tshirt.

A tishirt can sqeeze into a global priority mail envelope, which last I checked is like $6.

I'm pretty sure "AppleInsiders go down more often" isn't something any of us want printed on our chests...

I'm not even going to comment.
