I wanted to see the Track Pad in action and try it out first at the Apple store as I try to keep it sane and try out a new device first before I put out the dollars. My first impression is it is nice but not what I would spend $69.00 for.
The tracking action on the screen was smooth but the swipe action leaves a lot to desire. In fact I like the Magic Mouse that I have much better for the 2 finger swipe. I do have 2 wireless mouses for the reason that there are some things I need the Logtech mouse that the Magic Mouse does not do.
When I was on Safari at the Apple Store it worked out nice but I tried out the Track Pad on several different programs and I like it when I using Safari and found it useless in iPhoto, the magic mouse did a much better job.
I can see that the Track Pad has a lot of potential but I think for now I wait for a while and see if it is improved in later generations. As it is now I just keep using my mice.
I would like a keyboard with a number pad and a Magic Trackpad built in. I'd like my pick of a wired or wireless unit like that. Who do I have to contact in order to get one?
Geez Louise, can't you take a joke?
However, I would buy one in a New York minute if one were available. I thought I was getting used to a keyboard without a number pad, but I've "gone about as fer as I kin go." I want a number pad because my fingers still haven't learned to hit the keyboard numbers every time.
What are the chances of an all-in-one ever happening? Someone with a crystal ball, please?

I absolutely love it. It feels very natural and works like a charm (after the software update - it was jerky and not so usable before).
