It is supposed to arrive on 10/5. Can't wait to get it.
I have an MDP-HDMI adapter and have been streaming netflix to my hdtv using wifi on my Macbook Pro. I am really hoping that this will be able to do the same with a wifi connection as well.
Some folks are posting that wifi on their old system was slow. I really don't want to have to run a cable!
Mine is saying it has shipped, and at first said Oct 1 arrival, but now says Oct 5. Dang! I really, really wanted it for streaming music at a party I have on Oct 2. \
Hopefully FedEx is just being really, really conservative on delivery time.
Now, my shipment, too, has been updated and no longer says Sep 30, 2010 by 4:30PM, but now says:
10/05/2010 Tuesday
I assume it will be delayed because tracking says:
Sep. 28, 2010 - 12:29AM Picked Up SHENZHEN

No sure why you're so pessimistic. This is FedEx we're talking about. You'll have it in your hands in a day or two. Mine should be here tomorrow according to their site.
It seems like it should arrive sooner than Oct. 5th. I wonder if it will sit in customs long. I had a laptop that shipped from china sit in customs for a few days.
I would be psyched to get it before the weekend...
Yeah, my first FedEx tracker on Monday said: Shipped 9/27, Arrive by 9/30 4:30pm. Then yesterday it arrived in Alaska and shifted to delivered by Oct 5 by 4:30pm. It's been in Alaska for a day now.

ordered tv on Sept 1st, received notification of shipment today with a delivery date of Sept 30.

There will be IOS updates and apps that I can't imagine, but Steve Jobs can and he will implement them.
For now I am thrilled to be receiving my own tv, it's due to arrive today 9/30/10.

I guess FedEx was just being conservative when they changed my delivery estimate.
I got mine today! In fact, it was a day earlier than the original date and six days earlier than the latest update! Arrived Sept 29 @ noon...
I'm already plugged in and playing...
