I hope Spain wins this game. Korea has gotten away with so much, tripping, faking, and that recalled goal from the US. I know, I'm getting over it, but that still hurt. At least Brazil vs. Spain will be a clean game. Hopefully. Go Brazil!! I have my home-made feijoada, mandioca, and guarana. Bring on your best shot, Spain!
I'd just like to add my sympathy to all the England fans (NNOOTTT!!!!)

Hello Jimdad!
England went to the FIFA World Cup and Scotland did not.
Let me put it another way: whereas Scotland did not qualify for the tournament, the England team did.
That is to say that England, who got through to the Quarter Final of the World Cup, and who beat Argentina and then the team that put out the world champions, are coming home while Scotland never left at all and stayed in Scotland.
(Curiously, the people of Scotland were watching the games on television, while many English fans actually went to Japan and Korea to watch their team play, but this is, I suppose, not germane to the point I am trying to make.)
Anyway.
Happily there is an explanation. Scotland, who now regularly lose by four goals to none against teams in awful disarray, did not go to Japan and Korea because they lost their crucial qualification matches. Sadly for the Scottish, the national side of Scotland is not very good at playing football. England, who are a lot better at playing football than Scotland, who are really very poor, were good enough to qualify and then went on to do rather well!
What was that guy THINKING!! (I'll kick the ball...I won't kick the ball...I'll kick the ball...) Spain won a LONG time ago.
Oh well, can't change the game, some win, some loose. I'll have to live with it. (and buy a new pair of glasses because it sure looked like the ball was on the field.)
NEXT TIME...
don't rise to the bait., You only add to the enjoyment. You also fail to understand our approach to the beautiful game. We KNOW we're awful but it doesn't matter. I would point out, though, that the last awful team we lost to -S. korea - are now in the semis whereas your lot of arrogant muppets are still looking for excuses and blaming one of the best goalkeepers you've had for a long time.
Never mind, start convincing yourself now that you'll win the next big one, build it up in the press and we up here can start looking forward to it if we don't make it ourselves.
BTW, has anyone else noticed bright the roses look today , how sweet they smell, how life seems worth living...........

Hello there Jimdad!
These are all excellent points, and very well made.
Nonetheless, England went to Korea and Japan to contest the FIFA World Cup in the company of the planet's greatest football nations: Brasil, Argentina, the mighty Saudi Arabia, the fearsome Ecuador...
...and, er, Scotland didn't. No Sir, they didn't go.
Nope, they didn't qualify.
No. No. Indeed, Scotland didn't make it. To Korea and Japan. For the World Cup. Unlike England. Who did.

Is this perhaps an underhand move by the Deutscher Fussball-Bund? Poor Scots
Dont Germany have a German coach , aren't they just as bad as us yet they are in the semis ? I look forward to glory days - I just may not live long enough to see it.
Why poor Scots

How many games have Scotland played under Berti? How many games have they won, and how many have they lost?
c) as long as Germany - sorry, FalkoL, go out soon

Michael Skibbe, Assistant to Coach Ruuuudi, was asked today: "What are you going to do differently compared to Italy or Spain when facing South Corea."
Oh, I see. No one cares anymore... ...and those damn Germans have made it again.

Sorry
but, yeah, I guess that's it in about a nut shell
[quote]Congrats, Leonis. You were the first to make the right prediction.

Damn Leonis
Brazil, surely? On the other hand, if Germany won that wretched ?uro and the German economy might pick up, both of which would benefit me. Other than that... [shrugs shoulders]
I predict many German fouls, a shortage of "Gooooooals1", and a penalty kick scenario...with Germany eeking out the victory on the strenght of their in-the-zone Gooooooal Keeper.

Go Brazil!!

Think about it
Congrats, Leonis. You were the first to make the right prediction.
