In the supermarket I work at there is a special on Cherry Coke and Vanilla Coke... 4 sixers for $5 and i think 2 liter is 79¢, but only for vanilla and cherry--weird b/c that stuff usually goes on sale together...

damn advertising... soda and water suck because the store doesnt make any money on them and they are the hardest (heaviest) items to stock and store... oh well

I tried it, tastes just like cream soda... i ahve no clue why coke made a whole new drink outa this... they already have a cream soda brand--barqus (or maybe they just ahve the same vender, im not sure)

anyone ever been down to coke's headquaters in atlanta? they ahve some really bad sodas...

Sources say Pepsi will release a Blue-ish Pepsi product. It will look like carbonated Windex (SP), the glass cleaner. They have already tried a clear Pepsi that did not take off. The same sources also say a vanilla Pepsi is in the works, but I can only imagine how nasty that will taste.

EDIT- Woops. I guess TigerWoods99 alredy explaned clear Pepsi.

    It's called Pepsi Blue. It's a berry-like soda.

I had a roommate last year whose father worked for Pepsi legal. I know an awful lot about PepsiCo. For example:

-Crystal Pepsi was made because people in southeast Asia don't like to drink things that aren't clear. (they want to inspect it and make sure there's no grit inside). It is still sold there.

-There is only one country in the world where Mountain Dew contains Caffeine. . . USA.

-There is only one country in the world where 7UP is not Pepsi owned. . . .USA

-Pepsi is actually prefered in blind taste tests. In the 80's Coca-Cola wasn't doing so well, and they made the Diet Coke formula taste more like Pepsi. Diet Coke is NOT coke, sans the sugar. Diet Coke IS Coke II sans the sugar. In independent blind taste tests, people preferred Coke II over Pepsi and Coke, but Coke was such a cultural icon that people rejected Coke II. Coke then just changed their marketing and hammered-down a lot of brand recogition ads with no meaning. . . they worked like a charm. Coke II is still made and sold, though, believe it or not.

    - Vanilla Coke and Pepsi Blue were supposed to come out at the same time, but Coke jumped the gun. The Pepsi Legal guys didn't like that, but it's not really against any law to release a product.

The relations between Coke and Pepsi resemble detente between USA and USSR. I have more dumb stories of this sort, the kind that can only be accumulated when your roommate is a dork and both of us were drinking. (not pepsi or coke)

I have no idea how I came about this 12 year old comment. It looks like your prediction was wrong. Vanilla Coke is the bomb!! :)
