What is there to be proud about?
If someone were to say ,"I am proud of my son because he saved someones life", I could understand that, but other than that I might as well say, I am proud of my blue eyes. Sounds a bit too narcissistic to me.

In this book, a priest who become later the pope save the life of a young children : a miracle. the problem was, that when this child become an adult he turn into a fanatic crazy guy who killed one thousand of his fellow by poison before dying himself.

Society tells gay people that they should be ashamed to be who they are. The only way to counter this homophobia is to be proud to be who you are. Now, when it comes to being straight, I have no idea why anyone would want people to know they were straight, much less be proud of the fact. :shudder:
