SJ hit back with Apple full-throttle 24/7 after his return. Considering what he's done, he absolutely deserves some downtime to recuperate and charge his batteries. Shame on those ghoulish pricks that are out in full force on this site.

I wish SJ the best. Take the time you need to get yourself well. The one thing I would love more is for SJ to come back better and healthier than ever to show the pundits (yet again) that he's here for the long haul.

Will we ever know the real reason?

The CEO of the richest company on the planet wearing a hoodie, ripped 501s, and running shoes. AWESOME.

I bet Japanese executives, all tied up in their blazers 24/7, look at him and drool--or sneer.

The measure of a man is his aspirations, his associations, his adversities, his achievements -- and the inspirations they provide for those who follow.

Steve Jobs has already written history, his contributions to technology and also to business are all revolutionary.

I am sad for those who criticize him, because the truth is that those people in most cases are a bunch of losers that will never accomplish even 1/1000000000 of what this man has accomplish.

It is not only what Apple has done, but also what it has represented worldwide..

I don't care to know why he is taking a break, it is not our business, he already has created a machine that can run with or without him, I just pray for his health and his recovery, there are still a lot of surprises within this man..

    God bless you Steve

Since iLiver is determined to exploit even this topic with his negative crap, what say we just ignore him after this. At least not quote him. I already got sucked in by one other ghoul today.

Absolutely love the picture of steve coming out of the apple store. Definition of a successful tech company CEO - a relaxed style but clear vision and confident steps ahead.

As a businessman, and student of trends and history, Ford and Disney reached even higher levels many years after Ford and Disney were gone, Disney is one of the most powerful business organization in the world with incredible business diversifications that go way beyond were it was when Disney was alive.

Henry Ford was a pioneer in the car mass production, and he became a giant, since, Ford had grown bigger until the 80's, but because the lack of "perception" Ford Motors like most American automobile companies had problems, however, Ford was THE ONLY one of the 3 big American car makers who DID NOT receive aid from the government (Bailout) going from a 14 billion dollar loss in 2008 and just a year later in 2009 reporting a few billion dollars profits. In my book, Ford is a great success story even TODAY, and Henry Ford has been long gone..

    Exploiting? Say what?

So you got sucked into something - too bad but judgeing by your accusation I would believe it to be quite understandable.

They're is nothing exploitive by stating that Apple is Steve Jobs and Steve Jobs is Apple.

Cook was simply pushing the corporate wheels in Jobs' absence. Name me one thing he created/evnvisioneded that was implemented. (and hint another generation of iPhone with video hardly counts as visionary). Dropping priced on MacBooks is hardly revolutionary either.

Watson- you're talking finacial success. I take it you think Hanna Montana is an artistic accomplishment then. What is your take on the Edsel?

When Ford, Disney, Hilton and many other business visionaries retired or died, many "Einsteins" predicted apocalypses.

Why? people LIKE you saw those guys as the brand, the creators and the heart of the business, but what people did not understand is that the heart and the vision of an individual DOES NOT die when many seeds have been planted, what Apple is today is the base of what apple will be tomorrow!

Obviously you are not a business person, and if you are, your success may be very limited, if you have any. As I posted before, I am a business individual, I am a student of business, trends and history, and I suggest to you to read history before you make those "smart" statements, you don't look very good,

I know you're being sarcastic, but it just points to the fact that appearances are so superficial and not indicative of the real person.

What is your point?Edsel was a failure, but as Steve Jobs says, and I quote:

"Steve Jobs said: “I’m the only person I know that’s lost a quarter of a billion dollars in one year…. It’s very character-building.”

Don’t equate making mistakes with being a mistake. There is no such thing as a successful person who has not failed or made mistakes, there are successful people who made mistakes and changed their lives or performance in response to them, and so got it right the next time. They viewed mistakes as warnings rather than signs of hopeless inadequacy. Never making a mistake means never living life to the full."

    End of quote.

It applies to businesses, Ford Motors, made a mistake, marketing and timing were bad, and they lost millions, by the way, the car name was in honor of one of Henry Ford's sons.

Remind me of a project that Steve started in the late 70's called Lisa, a very advanced computer that eventually was scratched...

I think the iTroll was saying that the AI piece looked like one of those bio articles that is written and ready to go in case of the death of a person of interest.

In this case, not a death, but a health related story triggered its publication. He is probably right...
