OMG you mean they won't airbrush out the nipples? Life will end in the US as we know it.

I suspect the name replied to is a leg pull.

Sales of iPads to Muslim extremists will sky rocket now!

Good. Still think it's weird that some people find teenage boys looking at a nude girl more offensive than playing games that require you to kill people to meet vague objectives set by anonymous masters but then that's probably just me.

So now all we need is a Fleshlight with a built-in iPad mount and we are all set.

I sincerely doubt Playboy will be the one to redefine "streaming" video for the IOS.

The Sun (Murdoch UK Tabloid) apparently has their standard topless Page 3 girl as a 360˚ model on the iPad so it's not a totally new concept.

If I am not mistaken, Playboy is one of many mags that are sealed in stores in Canada, UK, Australia,…

I know one thing. My wife banned Playboy and Penthouse in our home when our son was born.

Why??? when the internet has way more than any Playboy ever had to offer, did she ban the internet as well.

I can just image what is going to happen, someone is going to be viewing their playboy in the subway or plane and some parent is going to become in raged, even though their kid never saw it and complain and want laws to be past not allowing adult content to be view in a public place.

Some state have already passed laws about view adult content on laptops and in car DVD player that can be seen by other and people passing you at 60MPH.

Than apple will ban playboy form the app store.

As someone wrote below both of us, there are going to be all of the issues accessible by the iPad through a browser, and a separate app made without nudity for the App Store.

So, "uncensored" will obviously apply to the stuff sent to the iPad through a browser.

And, as others have said, nothing has changed in this area at Apple.

Playboy has just done what many other companies have done and made their web portal as iPad accessible as possible.

Since it was first published..... you probably don't remember that, actually neither do I, but I read all about it.

Yeah, I checked out the link that MacRulez posted and it appears that Hef either didn't understand what the difference is between an app and an iPad optimized site when he tweeted, or possibly he did know and just got a huge amount of free publicity. I wouldn't want to bet on which of the two it was.

absolutely. besides, there's (almost) nothing to stop anyone from using the Safari web browser to visit the tens of thousands of websites that do publish material deemed mature or pornographic by others.

I gather you haven't travelled much.

A lot of, if not most, mothers, and fathers as well, don't allow their children to bring such materials into their homes. Otherwise, there wouldn't the laws or attempts by the populace to enact such laws.

Keep in mind that it was the Court that overturned attempts by a majority of the population to ban Playboy, Hustler, etc.,

If you really think that you have the right to take any magazine anywhere you want, try taking them into a school.

And yes, she did ban access to X-rated sights in our house.

You can go to the iBook store and get the Tucker Max book. There is a chapter on his experience with a midget. It's actually pretty funny.

In fact I anything I've ever read in playboy pales in comparison to the Tucker max stories.

Playboy will be available to iPad users just as multitudinous forms of porn have been all along: through a web browser.

    From a Playboy spokeswoman:

"We are releasing a web-based subscription service with Bondi Digital Publishing that will give users access to every issue of Playboy both past and present. The service will be iPad compatible and will utilize iPad functions.

"We also have plans to release a non-nude version of a Playboy-branded iPad app in the coming months that adheres to all of Apple?s policies and guidelines."

    Apple declined to comment.

As a web app Hef keeps all the money, Apple gets nothing, and kids using iPad still get porn.

I still think Apple should allow "adult content" available for the iPhone/iPad/iTouch as an app. I think there needs to be some kind of age verification set up.
