it's about that time again and i personally can't wait. pro and college, who's going to be kicking who's ass on the grid iron this year? let the pre-season predictions begin.
i love "soccer". hell, i played it for over 20 something years, both indoors and out. but watching it can at times be as fun as watching the grass grow. fun to play, boring to watch, mostly.
wusses huh? have you seen how big and how fast these guys are. if they didn't wear pads, there would be a whole lot of dead people laying on the side of the field after each game. even when you get hit with all those pads on you feel it. you feel for days. you really have no idea.
I got my first fix of the season last night with the North Texas v. South Texas All-Star game (high school level).
My beloved Longhorns kick-off on August 31st, I'm getting impatient.</strong><hr></blockquote>
i watched part of that last night as well. it just got me more in the mood. the big twelve is going to be pretty interesting this year. especially after my beloved sooners roast your horns all over the field
mmmm football season... i LOVE football... especially college football. although i will say OU doesn't have the best team around... can't wait to watch the games...
i don't really have any favorite teams though... a few of my friends play for ohio state so i do like to watch those games...

oops, you were talking about ohio u. as opposed to oklahoma u., were you not? ahhh athens. i remember a drunken halloween spent there in my youth. or i should say i can't remember.
WOOHOO!!! Go HOKIES!!! I think our first game is against Arkansas... HOpefully the recent graduating class wont have taken away too much of our defense. As for offense, its lookin good!!!! GO TECH!

Yeah you feel it... that's why they only do one game a week.

What an accurate name for an OU fan.
I look forward to October 12th, I think Mack Brown evens up the score this time. Your DL looks like an NFL DL but losing Roy Williams will help us out a lot.
And your offense... well, I'm more scared of UNT's offense.
It will be a great game.

VTech is headed to Collie Station to play the Aggots of Texas A&M, please give them an unholy beatdown for me.
oct 12 will be glorious day. mack brown will once again show the sporting world that there is more to colloge football than a great recruiting class. you also have to know how to couch too
williams and calmus will be missed, but the guys coming in behind them are very very solid. defense should be better than it was last year
as far as the offense, unt indeed (ouch), the reason we had such a rough time last year at times was because or our o-line was being shuffled around all year due to injuries. not mention hybal tends to be a very one dimensional qb. i doubt we will se much of him this year, fingers crossed. white is back and far more of threat because of his mobility.you remember him don't ya? freshman rawls is going to be the one to watch next year, if not sooner. they will put the numbers up and be in the hunt for another national championship. by the way those are nice. you should get one sometime. you can always come and visit ours if things don't work out
but your right, it should be a great game.

Oh he can couch. He's got the reclining seat with the foot stool and everything. He can couch like a mofo.
And he can coach pretty good, too, good enough to beat Okie State anyway.

I keep hearing that. I would say the defensive line improving always helps a defense, especially one like OU's.
I look forward to seeing what Cedric Benson, Chris Simms and our fleet of ungodly WRs can do. I figure 1 touchdown and a field goal wins the game for UT.

I hear Hybl is battling Rawls for the 2nd spot. That's gotta hurt.

Pffft. A gimmick quick QB after knocked out your first stringer comes in and scrambles a bit, I'm not impressed. We'll see how White does against a UT defense that's prepared for his style.

OU will be in the hunt as long as Bob Stoops is there. He may be a hotheaded freak but he's a good coach.
I would mention him screaming at White to go play on a hyperextended knee, but "that's just water under the dam".

time will tell my friend. time will tell.
You really like gorillas?
We've got just the pet for you
It's the way you're forced to act
To survive our schools
Make your whole life revolve around sports
Walk tough-don't act too smart
Be a mean machine
Then we'll let you get ahead
Jock-O-Rama-Save my soul
We're under the thumb of the Beef Patrol
The future of America is in their hands
Watch it roll over Niagara Falls
Pep rally in the holy temple
And you're forced to go
Masturbate en masse
With the favored religious cult
Cheerleaders yell-"Ra Ra Team"
From the locker room parades the prime beef
When archaeologists dig this up
They'll either laugh or cry
Jock-O-Rama-On the brain
Redneck-a-thon drivin' me insane
The future of America is in their hands
Watch it roll over Niagara Falls
Unzip that old time religion
On the almighty football field
Beerbellies of all ages
Come to watch the gladiators bleed
"Now boys, this game ain't played for fun
You're going out there to win
How d'ya win?
Get out there
And snap the other guy's knee!"
Beat 'em up! Beat 'em up!
Ra Ra Ra
Snap those spinal cords
Ha Ha Ha
The star quarterback lies injured
Unconscious on the football field
Looks like his neck's been broken
Seems to happen somewhere every year
His mom and dad clutch themselves and cry
Their favorite son will never walk again
Coach says, "That boy gave a hundred percent
What spirit
What a man"
But who cares?
Games over-Let's go get wasted man
To the 7-11, to the liquor store
Let's party all night and party some more
Another Trans-Am
Wrapped itself around a telephone pole
"I ain't drunk, officer
I just fell gettin' out of my car"
Don't worry about it, son
We were that way when we were young
You've got all the skills
To make a damn good businessman
Jock-O-Rama-that's the law
Come lick the butts of the Beef Patrol
If the future of America is handed to them
Watch it roll over Niagara Falls
"Jock-O-Rama" - Dead Kennedys
