Regardless of the certain frenzied groundswell of members who will want to select me as their Member of the Year I feel it only fair to state for the record that I will not accept any nominations to this position. I hate to disappoint my fans, but any number of other members are acceptable substitutes in my stead. Good luck to those alternates!

    hehehe, I kill me....

    So I vote for him.

i don't know who to vote for, so i've decided to sell my vote. if any of the nominees want it, just send a new ddr dual gig (or better) powermac to: thuhFreek, NYC, NY. if your cheap, you could just throw me a dime or two of dro or haize. (is it against the rules to buy or sell votes for this? if it is, then its gonna cost a little more, to cover the risk or cost of prosecution.)

Oh. I thought you were going to pick one from the people you listed. Didn't realize we could post multiple votes...

Ah to hell with it, someone pick a winner already! I think Anders has the most votes so far, doesn't he? Maybe the photo page fortold his victory and I was just too stubborn to recognize as much!

My ain wee expression o' appreciation must be directed mare tae the surging squidge o' communal eprotoplasm that is AI, than tae the individual; but just tae hae dooked my ginger heid in this bubbling fount o' eclecticy has been mare pleasurable and doonright eye-opening than a whole hither lifetime' o' indulgent carousing and wanton revelry.

I hae a wee soft spot for mony - or all o' you - of coorse; by reason o' wit, wisdom, nationality or sheer perversity and I hae, on mare than one occasion, near lost my wee hert tae Ms BK and for what it's worth I gie ye a' my fondest hugs and 10 bottles o' Glenfiddich each.

dont know whether that was a piss poor attempt at sarcasm or a serious comment, if it was serious (just to let you know)

it was written in scottish, as it would have been spoken - read it out loud and it will make perfect sense

I understand every word - or almost every word - you post, good Sir! Please keep the outstanding "cross-the-pond-prose" coming! Believe me, your dialect alone almost won you my vote. But being a man of conscience, I had to go with content over style. It wouldn't be fair to vote for you, on account of no one else has the skills to post the way you do - so you'd win every year in that case!

I vote for murbot. Mainly because of that great post with the hard drive.

I really liked AllenChristopher's posts (very intelligent and well thought out), and Anders' as well, but I didn't really see much of them, so I won't vote for them. But an honorable mention.
