That is funny that you said that though, being in the same general ideology as one of the most paranoid Presidents in history, Mr. "al Qaeda is gonna attack us at any moment and Saddam's got nukes that he's gonna use."

i'd rather be paranoid than have nothing be done. i don't know... i think we for too long were not paranoid enough and got hurt... perhaps it is time to take things a little less light heartedly and be a little "paranoid" if that's what you want to call it.
politics ain't my thang obviously but... whatever.
So it's Clinton's fault now. Well I know where you stand- probably in front of a Fox News Channel tuned-in TV. But that's okay. There are a zillion other threads attacking the "war on terrorism and iraq." And yeah, my definition of paranoia would include that "if that's what I want to call it."
Don't be fooled. The DLC- type Democrats are entirely cynical about 2004. This move was designed to get Hillary Clinton in the White House in the 2008. Just look at who commented in the latest CNN article: former President Clinton and Senator Clinton. Sometimes you have to lose to win.
I'll be in law school when HRC runs, and I tell you this: It's gonna be a hell of a campaign.

How do you mean? You mean "ferocious"? I have to agree with that.
Would you support her? I have to tell you...all political party affiliation aside that I find her reprehensible. I also think she will get slaughtered in the South and midwest.
On Gore: I think we haven't explored the angle that he may have been asked not to run...even pressued not to.

Are you serious or joking? I am not trying to flame anyone if they vote for this guy, but I figured you for a Pro-Life Republican. This guy is a divorced Catholic who is pro-abortion. Just didn't think you would like him. Interesting.
Someone please explain to me the utter hatred of Hillary Clinton. I know that's the right-wings' standard operating procedure, but it seems even stronger than their usual for her. What's the deal? Or is it even explainable in rational terms?

I believe she, like the former President is a truly corrupt person. She is mean spirited. I disagree with nearly all of her positions. She's a manipulative bitch.
Oh wait I know. She's for protecting children. Wow. She's for education and teachers. Clap clap clap rah rah rah. She's for protecting workers. Hooray. What a woman

I don't hate her. I just don't understand why Dems get all weak in the knees over her. What has she done? Her only significant legislative initiative paved the way for the GOP to gain control of the House for the first time since the Eisenhower administration. The way Dems are so infatuated with Hillary is at least as hard to fathom as whatever Republican animosity there is towards her.

But I agree with bunge - there doesn't seem to be as much love towards her from Dems as there is hatred towards her from Repubs. And I think some Dems love her just because the Repubs hate her so much.

Gore had to know he wasn't even going to get the nomination. Election 2000 should not even have been close. Gore was a sitting VP, we had good economic conditions, and he was perceived as more intelligent and experienced. He underestimated Bush and micromanaged his own campaign. He blew it. Period.

Let's measure the hate for her vs. the "weak in the knees over her" on this thread. I don't think it's fair to equate the two.

My top picks for 2004-2012:
1) Hillary Clinton
2) Harold Ford, Jr.
Time to let out a big sigh of relief.

On a lighter note, he was funny on SNL.
