Pssh. You're 28. That means we're talking about 92/93 here. That is like yesterday.

1992: That was when everyone was 90lbs and football was fun. After that my teammates got big and I stayed skinny. It was also the year when FD3S's started selling, which is a big thing for us FD owners. Some of them caught on fire though. (Bill Gates's FD caught on fire.) They fixed that problem for the 94 model. Also the year my dad finally broke down and got rid of the 256k terminal in the basement and bought a mac.

-External tape drives on the computers at school..you actually had to fast forward/rewind to the section you wanted and hit play.

30? Still a little ways off for me. I'm only 28 now, so I've got eight years left to go.

BTW, if you're having a problem with my math, you haven't yet considered the advantages of tracking your age in hexadecimal

Ok, I remember polio vaccinations ( one of my friends is in a wheel chair since grade school ).

I remember when the Soviet Union said " we will bury you ". And yes in grade school I had to practice duck and cover.

    I remember Kennedy getting shot.

I remember us landing on the moon.

I remember the Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, And Star Trek during their original run.

I even remember Howdy Duty ( although I was very young ).

I remember Mini Skirts, Bell bottoms, hot pants, wide lapels and ties.

I remember when the first head shop opened in my town.

I remember when there was only one kind of coke.

I don't have my Atari 64 ST anymore. Although later on it was fun to get drunk and watch the primative graphics.

I remember the nightly news about Viet Nam. I remember Nixon resigning.

I remember recording the sound of a Star Trek episode because the VCR didn't exist.

I remember when the idea of a beautiful woman was to be as skinny as possible.

I also remember a lot of the stuff you guys do I was just older at the time.

My advice is to enjoy life now. 1993 ( my first Mac an LC III that year ) and my 40th birthday doesn't seem so long ago.

The first thing I thought when I read that was "what do you mean Atari 2600?!"

Hell, I spent hours on my friend's Atari 400. And that was after I'd already gotten hooked on Space Invaders in the arcade.

My first computer was the then-brand-new Timex Sinclair 1000. Oh yeah, baby.
