    Nice house.

It doesn't look much like a 'home' though. Seems sorta cold and empty.

Kinda reminds me of one of those model houses that developers set up to sell the houses in, um, developments.

Big house though. Just doesn't look like anyone is enjoying living there. Not very cozy.

Not trying to be down on your house. Just sharing my observations.

Maybe if you have a famly in that place one of these days it'll come to life. You've got the room for it.

You could have a dog too!

As hard a time as some of the "compassionate" people on here give you, I'm surprised no one made mention of the fact that you were watching...(GASP) Fox News as you and your white male minions were plotting the oppresion of everyone, everywhere. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

I can't believe some of these folks are saying a quarter of a million is cheap for living. Of course the Boston folks are saying that but they have the biggest real estate bubble in the U.S. getting ready to "POP"!

I'll have to post some picks of my new house. We are moving into it today. In fact.... gotta get moving again...

What a nice-looking house. The living room is particularly attractive. Looks like something you'd see on one of those HGTV shows or in one of those home magazines!

Very clean and classic, but warm and cozy at the same time.

    I likes!

If I may offer a little constructive criticism...

So I looked at those pictures of your house again, because for some reason it was sticking in my head, and noticed that everything is done in brown and white (and black if you count the coffeepots). I realize you've got a lot of wood - which is really cool, but what's with those white blinds in the living room? Spiff that place up my man!

You might think about tossing a little more color into the place to liven it up a little. It's looking a bit too neutral IMO. A little too prefab for me. But everyone has different tastes I guess.

As they say on <a href="http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/tradingspaces/tradingspaces.html"; target="_blank">Trading Spaces</a>, "it needs a little character." Of course, most of the designs done on trading spaces are terrible.

    Check out this house:

I think my gf entered us in the sweepstakes everyday! She's really into interior design.

(sorry if you don't like the constructive criticism - I mean it in a nice way - but hey, you're the one who posted pictures of your house on the internet for us all to see).

Hey I welcome all ideas. I actually agree with you and the windows are a problem I have not furnished as of yet. I will warm up the place with some window treatments as well as some lamps in the place. This is my first place and I have only started to furnish the place. I do watch HGTV and I have my ideas as to what I will do with the place. One day at a time. Thanks for your thoughts.

edit: The home you linked to I did see the that on HGTV. It is a beautiful place. I like much of what they did with the home and how it is furnished.

Oh man, I'd probably be happy if I could find a nice two bedroom co op in the city for that kind of cash!

Ooh yeah...contact "Trading Spaces" and see if they'll come do a show!

If that cutie-pie of a host came to MY house, I'd never let her leave. You'd see me on CourtTV, responding to charges of attempted kidnapping and excessive butt-grabbing. She's a babydoll!

futuremac thank you for your kind and warm comments. It is a 4 bedroom home and that doorway you ask about leads to the master bedroom area. I trust that Heaven will be my home of the future. This home I live in now was my fathers house and I have bought it and kept it. I trust that when I get to my home of the future it too will be my Fathers house.

    God Bless..

PS, I bought a Troy Bilt riding lawnmower today to mow all that grass with when it starts to get growing.

g I will be the first to say that you most likely have the nicest home of the entire bunch here at AI. Not to mention the beauty of the area surrounding your home. You are very Blessed. With the idea of color and paint that is something I am planning.

Yeah, an orange jumpsuit with a stenciled series of numbers printed on the chest and back.

That pic of thegelding's room is awesome. I love red walls. A friend of mine has the coolest house: it's a two story townhome and last summer she painted the downstairs this cool yellow color (called "moonglow" by Behr) and it looks AMAZING!

Then her bedroom is the most relaxing, pretty shade of mint/pea green. It's hard to explain the exact color, just soft and soothing. And when the sun comes in her window at a certain time or angle, there's this amazing glow or cast in her room. It's almost like you're underwater or something. Just this awesome tint to the entire room and everything in it. I feel like a dolphin.

Her daughter's room is a BRIGHT lime green which works perfectly with all the toys of a 9-year-old. Looks like the set of a children's TV show.

Her next plan is to paint her kitchen a dark blood/rust red and refinish her cabinets in a white, bleached look (they're currently dark wood color and the walls are some old-school wallpaper pattern).
