Bioflavonoid: I agree with burning wheel. Great taste.
Afgahn Whigs was/is a great band. It delevopled from a happy-go-lucky grunge mudhoney-like band with "up in it" to a "find your inner devils"-band with Gentlemen. Go listen to that one first.
And go check out Mew Its just getting its firs international release out very soon. But mail me (all of you) and I can give you a taste
Right now German electro-indie labels are what is happening with Morr Music as the peak. It released a tribute album to one of my favorite bands from early 90s: Slowdive. About ten bands made one cover version of a Slowdive and one of their own songs. A great introduction to the bands of Morr. And all bands of Morr are relatively new so they will develop in the next couple of years
Another German label worth checking out is City Centre Offices
One of my favorite albums right now is Ulrich Schnauss - Far Away Trains Passing By. And since he seems to have a foot in both Morr and CCO it only proves my point
Comments
