[quote]Yeah, but this thread is about foreign films, not American ones.

    are you serious?

so if you ask someone from italy what their favorite foreign film is, they can say fellini's "roma"?

running...your quote is taken somewhat from a jonathan richman's song:

"some people like to pick up girls and get called 'asshole'...this never happened to Pablo Picasso"

from Pablo Picasso...i even think there is a line in it that goes, "no one ever called Pablo Picasso an asshole"....have to go home and listen....g

    ps. good movies

edit: gotta love the internet...Pablo Picasso song lyrics:

    Pablo Picasso

    Words and Music: Jonathan Richman

Well some people try to pick up girls

    And get called assholes

This never happened to Pablo Picasso

He could walk down your street

And girls could not resist his stare and

So Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole

Well the girls would turn the color

Of the avacado when he would drive

Down their street in his El Dorado

He could walk down you street

And girls could not resist his stare

Pablo Picasso never got called an asshole

    Not like you

    Alright

    Well he was only 5'3"

But girls could not resist his stare

Pablo Picasso never got called an asshole

    Not in New York

Oh well be not schmuck, be not abnoxious,

Be not bellbottom bummer or asshole

Remember the story of Pablo Picasso

He could walk down your street

And girls could not resist his stare

Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole

    Alright this is it

Some people try to pick up girls

And they get called an asshole

This never happened to Pablo Picasso

He could walk down your street

And girls could not resist his stare and so

    Pablo Picasso was never called...

This is an international forum. Anyway it was quite easy to understand that the first poster meant best non US film. Speaking of that, did he include canadians movies ?

I believe that was torifile who said he would try to see it.

I've already seen it and I thought it was great. but I still prefer DitD.

BTW I saw Emily Watson in person earlier this year at a live broadcast of a NPR talk show at BAM (The Brooklyn Academy of Music). She seemed like a very nice person. Taller than I expected.
