I'd love to, but I didn't keep a copy of all the links for myself! I relied on the AI post that used to <a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/ubb/Forum11/HTML/001024.html" target="_blank">live here</a>. I believe AppleMaster has a good list of all the keynote links that were posted. AppleMaster?
<strong>If anyone has archives of the old AI please contact me ASAP through AIM, sn: NNNRampage</strong><hr></blockquote>
Nick, I don't have AIM. However, I'm having moderate success in resurrecting old pages. I'll be posting my progress in the thread, "<a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=11&t=000007" target="_blank">Is it possible to bring back an archive of all old posts?</a>." Everyone who is interested, please look there.
Dogcow: sorry, I couldn't get the link you posted.

I just turned the iPod 300MB movie into a DV stream and then put that onto a VHS tape. The video and sound qualitiy is not perfect, but it is good enough for my "I LUV apple-LIke ness" <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

Actually, I second this motion. I am gathering as many pictures, articles, and movies from 9/11/01 as I can. History, no matter how terrible, should not be forgotten.
I have a 700MB cd image of pictures, and news of the attacks right now, and there is supposed to be one with Multi-Media floating around but I have not seen it. Anyone heard anything?
BTW, From King Chung Huangs origional answer to how he saved the movies rather than the links to the movies.
[quote]As for my "secret", it's actually quite simple. What I do is I save a self-contained version of movie in the QuickTime player that shows up after you click the "Watch now" button on Apple's pages. This file will contain, among other things, where the stream data is located on Akamai's servers. So, open the file with BBEdit, and locate the string that contains the akamai address. Then, like all Akamai addresses, pick out the part of the address that refers to an Apple server. Since all of Apple's QTV servers also respond to HTTP requests, you can then append http:// to the beginning of the address segment that you picked out of the Akamai address, and download the video!
To get the different datarate versions, I just set my QuickTime control panel to the desired datarate, reclick the "Watch now" button, save the new QT player file, and extract the URL from that. Apple's naming convention for the different speeds are quite consistent so you can easily guess the file names for the other speeds from that.<hr></blockquote>
It is very cool that you found a lot of the old AI pages. A walk down amnesia lane that is. Are the Mods gonna try to bring them back so we can search them?
A bit off topic, but here are the RTSP of some of the CNN streams I would like to save. Anyone care to take a crack at it? Their servers do not seem to respond to the HTTP requests.

I'd love to, but I didn't keep a copy of all the links for myself!
...
And it works! So far, I've been able to successfully resurrect all four pages from the original thread which this one is based on.
You can see them here:
<a href="http://commons.ucalgary.ca/king/appleinsider/Forum11/HTML/001024.html" target="_blank">Page 1</a>
<a href="http://commons.ucalgary.ca/king/appleinsider/Forum11/HTML/001024-2.html" target="_blank">Page 2</a>

<a href="http://commons.ucalgary.ca/king/appleinsider/Forum11/HTML/001024-4.html" target="_blank">Page 4</a>
Amazing, huh?
I'm going to continue working on this and see what else I can resurrect.
