Google chrome does it for free along with other services
And FireFox does. And you could use delici.ous or whatever it's called.
Apple is lightyears behind many competitors on cloud computing. While I don't think it's the panacea it's being advertised as by ESRI or Microsoft, there are some virtues to it. And most of these are lost on Apple. Mainly, the best things in MobileMe are the things they are removing.
You can contact DropBox. Refer enough friends/co-workers and you can get 10GB of cloud synching FREE. And adding 50GB is around the same price as MobileMe used to be.
And most importantly TimeMachine will backup Dropbox: iDisk wouldn't.
"Always have your stuff when you need it with @Dropbox. 2GB account is free!"
Personal gain warning: Both you and I get bonus space (250MB) if you sign up with this link

So Apple have been offering these features through a simple, central service before anyone else but they're lightyears behind?
In truth Apple are the only ones committed to cloud services, everyone else is copping out with cloud file services or providing inappropriate cloud apps where natives should be.
And most importantly TimeMachine will backup Dropbox: iDisk wouldn't.
If you mean to say that iDisk contents aren't backed up by Time Machine, you're worng: if you set your iDisk to create a local copy, it'll be included in Time Machine backups. This is analogous to the way DropBox works; it synchronises a local storage over the network.
In my defense of Web Gallery, I have contacted them. Do I actually think they listen, or care? No. We always get the, "Thanks for writing, but we're not going to bother responding" message after pressing send. They have their minds set already and the vast majority of Mac users apparently think it's great sharing photos on Facebook (a social service that I dislike more with every "improvement" they make). iCloud doesn't address the problem of sharing photos and videos with family and friends around the world. I realize they are leaving Web Gallery running for another year, but that doesn't remotely suggest that they are going to do anything to provide the functionality we have now. I don't want to have to go back to emailing everyone pictures again.
Just want to add my vote to keep MobileMe functionality, such as keychain and system preferences sync, iDisk, Gallery, iWeb (one can hope, can't they?).
These are features I rely on heavily, and while I'm technically savvy enough to find alternatives to most of these, but what a royal PITA, seriously. One of the great things about being a MAC owner is how many things are so easy-peasy to do, compared to the alternative OS's. Everything is right here at my fingertips, and nicely integrated, whereas searching for and implementing alternatives feels much too much like being back on Windows (that was painful just to write that word).
Just point it to a different address and iWeb will publish it there.
For heaven's sake.
Tallest Skil, you obviously haven't used iWeb - may of it's features are proprietary, and can only be rendered on the MobileMe web servers. "For heaven's sake", get your facts straight before yelling at others.

As a teacher, I find iDisk to be an invaluable component of the syncing program. It makes my job a lot easier when I can just work from iDisk and it syncs on its own. I don't have to worry about transferring contents to my USB flash and then get to my class and transfer from USB flash to my class computer. I also use the photo gallery to share my pictures with my families.
There is one little thing I would like to change though. Get rid of @me.com domain. I liked the @mac.com we had before the @me.com

Dropbox does the same thing. Slightly different, but quite adequately.

If they were smart they would just buy DropBox.

They tried. Apparently Dropbox turned them down.

No syncing on mail, keychains etc. Setting up a new mac will take hours more.
No iDisk. It is the easiest way to exchange files with other people. I can even make a short link to a file in a mail.
Right now I'm using 13 GB of space!
Even only relocating the websites will cost me a fortune.
I like keep these things. Easy in use, no 10 different sites, programs to use.
I like to pay for these things as I always did. Charge for extras but don't kill them.
Let Apple know here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/mobileme.html
