That's a given at this point. Even though nothing is confirmed, we've known that since the Verizon iPhone was taken apart by iFixit.

No no no, it's 280 new features on 1 new iPhone. Who's going to be the lucky devil?

How much do you think iPhone 4 16GB will cost after the iPhone 5 come out?

    Provided it exists? $99.

    I see an 8GB iPhone 4 with GSM+CDMA at $99 equally likely.

Interesting invite. It is an iPhone event primarily. iOS 5, iCloud, et al were already talked about. Though, the iPod older sibling should be a focal point of this event too - maybe at the end. Anyhow, I'm excited too.

Remember when the report came out that Apple would be focusing on software-driven product refresh cycles rather than releasing new hardware each year?

Yeah, this'll be an iPhone 4 case with some updated guts and a shiny new operating system. Curb your enthusiasm, guys.

What about for an unlocked iPhone 4?

At 8GB? $599. Or whatever the lowest-priced unlocked iPhone 4 is now. Think it might be $699. Whichever.

No need to demonstrate that. It's already superior. They could introduce the same feature as Android and even that feature would be better designed. And the battery would last.

Nah, it's not a risk Apple can take. Not after almost a year and a half. They gotta bring out something new, iPhone 4 design will be iPhone 4S as the cheaper one, iPhone 5 will be kick-ass.

Should of course being defined as being what you want, so you are likely going to be disappointed

Apple never swore that all phones would come out in June so we can't really say it is late. This could be when they planned to release it all along. And rather than it being delayed because of the verizon iPhone, maybe that release was moved up because they were changing up the time table

If you don't need a data plan, then you don't want a smartphone. Isn't an iPod Touch what you need? I don't understand why anyone would buy a smartphone without a data plan.

No iPhone 4S... only one phone. iPhone 5.

    Right?

Did anyone mention the fact that it shows a mechanical clock rather than a digital clock? Just saying...

Most likely to get an iPod that works as a phone. But you do lose a lot of functionality without the cellular network.

One where no one gives a damn about Twitter integration, i.e. The One Most People Live In. I've been using iOS 5 since beta 1, and while at first I thought it was a huge step forward, after playing with the latest Android build on a Galaxy S II, I learned it's just an attempt to catch up. iCloud is a great idea, but it's not a game-changer, and if the new hardware isn't as good if not better than what is currently on the market, there are going to be a lot of folks like me who jump ship. I like Apple products, hell I'm typing this up on a 2009 13" MBP, but I'm not a mindless slave to everything that comes out of the House Jobs Built like some of you are.

"What I Want" is for the new model to be as good if not better than what the competition has had on the market for months. As long as that is the case, I won't be disappointed. If it's not, I won't be an iPhone user much longer.

On eBay? Between 300-350 bucks, which is a lot less than what I got for my unlocked 3Gs last year. Retail, well that's anyone's guess, but I'd say the 16 and 32's will be pulled completely, and used for warranty exchanges or moved to other countries like China. I'd expect an 8 gig version of the 4 to replace the 3Gs at the 99 dollar price point.
