    Apple and Interflora.

After you fight with your girlfriend, you'll have to buy her a flowerpower iMac to make up.

Everytime Friends clashes with VIP, Apple's marketshare will go up a point or two.

    Apple and Starbucks!

Get rid of all the Compaq's and have rows of iMacs hooked up.

With the number of Starbucks around, think of the exposure.

On a somewhat more sombre note, I'd really like to see an alliance between Apple and Motorola. Hear what I'm saying?

If there really were an alliance between Apple and Motorola, then Motorola might get serious about making the PPC a competitive CPU. In addition, it would be a nice gesture if they were to start using Macs wherever possible instead of standardising on Windoze.

In return, Apple could teach Motorola how to make a telephone that hasn't been hit with an ugly stick. The two of them could even collaborate to create a must-have smartphone/PDA and other digital hubbery.

But that's just crazy talk, isn't it?

    Apple and yer mom.

Or Apple, Coca-Cola and Camel. Put some of their "secret ingrediences" on the iMacs LCD screen white surroundings, let it penetrate the users skin and they are hooked. Customer one day after been to CompUSA: "Must...get...an...iMac"

    Apple-IBM-Sony

Apple provides the software engineering and systems integration,

IBM adopts OS X and Apple technology as its PC technology and advances the technology performance on hardware and software while selling the technology into businesses.

Sony adopts OSX and Apple technology and markets to consumers.

Only three ways to get a Mac - with an apple brand, IBM brand or Sony brand on it, and all are centrally priced and configured in the alliance (actually I see at as more a newco-partnership than a mere alliance).

    Alternatively,

Apple-AOL Time warner - just throw apple into this already confusing mishmash of over-leveraged companies with good brands and poor financial performance.

Here's my take on Motorola and an Apple alliance: *I WISH*.

Maybe then we'd get some decent processors and Motorola's phone OS/interface wouldn't be such crap (FWIW I will never buy another Motorola phone again).

That would be a bad idea, Sony will certainly take the Asia market, and IBM will get the rest, IBM and Sony are too strong for apple. Apple/Sony or Apple/IBM would be more secure of Apple. And I perfer Apple/IBM, IBM has the power to give apple more brand regonition as a credible Computer maker to people who doesnt trust apple's stuff, and IBM could use OS X to make server products.

Anyways I think Apple/Hooters/Chinese Buffet place allience would be great, I got no idea why though.

    How about Apple-Virgin?

That'd even make sense from the metaphorical standpoint.

Get a free Virgin cola with every Mac sold, and equip their airline with iMacs.

(and influence all the electronic entertainment Virgin owns).

    How about Apple-IBM-and the SAS?

IBM could bring the macs up to speed, apple could take OSX further and further, and the SAS could knock out M$.

I finally thought of some alliances that could transform Apple.

    Microsoft + Quark.

    Don't ask about the transformation.

it's a fact that Speaker can't get ugly that easily you need to try really hard to make it ugly, unless you use cheap plastic. Kenwood always make good speakers, and Sony is well known for making things look great, I don't see how the word ugly fits into your sentence.
