Jeezus. We all know RTFM. There should be a JATFQ - just answer the fucking question. All these smartarse comments to a straightforward question. Ooh how clever you all are. We get it. You and Apple are so wonderful. Ooh. The answer as the first response would have meant that anyone googling the question would have the problem solved straight away rather than have to plough through a manual or endure your verbal masturbation. It's a support forum. 'RTFM' or '**** about with the iPad to see if what you want happens' are not acceptable answers on a support forum. Don't want to give support then sod off.
Well cartographer, if you ever considered making a career in support, forget it. You'd starve to death. Why not just answer the question? Or don't you know the answer? That's OK. We'll forgive you.
Support forums are where people go these days to get support, or hadn't you heard? Manuals are long gone. And you with them by the sound of it.
Well aren't we a snarky little lot, I don't care if it's an old argument or not as I am having the same issue now, trying to get my sons iTunes up & running on his iPad. Before you try to think of a smart ass reply as to why a 14 year old isn't doing it himself, my son has autism & sometimes needs a little help. As another poster said your condescension Tallest Skil is completely uncalled for, far from making the OP look silly you just make yourself look very small. We can all big ourselves up.....hiding behind a computer screen. Costs nothing to be polite.
Hey, the only thing I got with my iPad was a Apple decal. And yes I purchased my iPad from Apple directly. Sure am glad I don't use the site much looking for help. Sure looks like people here are condescending or maybe its just the people that answered this thread. Guess I should just cancel my membership here.
Unfortunately when you use a forum like this, a forum created to ASK QUESTIONS, you are going to run into idiots like these idiots that responded to your posting, Forums like this are where losers like these guys hang out and try to give off that they are intelligent. Suggesting you open a manual because you asked a question is like going to a mechanic to ask him if it's time to replace your tires and he hands you a book rather than looking at the tires and taking two seconds to answer a question. Don't feel bad for asking a question.
Signed it to ask a question and read the posts and respoinses.

Y do help sites become bloglike-- A few replies followed by snide attacks of the victim?
Y not suggest another way of solving the problem --thoughtfully, respectfully, and in a caring way. Guide him or her to do it properly. Or simply stay off the airwaves. They/we deserve better.

That's useful info and I'm sure the OP will find it so too. Cheers.
BTW, in your sig, I think you'll find that Apple didn't create Unix and Android is based on Linux, not Java. Apart from that, spot on.
