You need Toast Titanium, but I assume you have that.

The trick is: you need to keep pushing on the 'other' button. Not even two seconds later, a drop-down menu will.... drop down, and you'll be able to choose Custom Hybrid.

Thanks for the lovely screenshot Xaqtly. I learned something. I'll probably never use it though. </strong><hr></blockquote>

You doin't have to have Titanium. Toast Deluxe 4.1.x will do it too, I don't know about earlier versiosn though.

I have another question related to this so i dont' wanna start a new thread unless it does't get answered...

I've done some reading and the "autostart" feature works but it can be shut off and I need my cd to work for retarded users who might have it shut off and don't know where to find the cd on their desktop (this presentation is gonna be distributed to junior and high school students)

So I've noticed then when i enter disks such as diskwarrior or other things that the window for that cd opens automaticly...how do i do that or is that the same as the autostart?

I don't know the answer to that, but I once worked on a CD that was distirbuted to high schools, and what we ended up doing is just putting explisit instructions on the CD packaging. That has seemed to work, as I have heard no complaints...

On another note, it is my opinion tat if you can figure out how to turn off that feature, you probably know how to find the CD. Unless, of course, you are actually distributing the CDs to schools, where the admin may have turned off the feature...

I am gonna include readme files and specific instructions on the packaging for each OS the user may use but i'm trying to make this cd as user friendly and possible and for every little feautre i add i can ask for more money sense they know nothing about technology

I don't know if you have figured this out or not, but if you have the window that you want open actaully open when you burn the cd, the window should open up when you pop the cd into your drive. at least that's the way it works with Toast Deluxe 4.1.x

I just dug up this thread because I was looking for a way to do this now, I'm guessing that not much has changed though. I figured that if I burnt the disc with a window open, it would load the disc with that window open, because of the .DS_Store file. But I can't have a html file open when I burn it and have it open when the disc loads, so that idea's out. Has anybody heard of a way to do this yet?

    Funny you dug this up.

All you have to do is use toast and select the autoplay file as explained further above. The cd i made autostarts an html file on a mac and a pc in the default broswer. Works like a charm.

now can someone help me out with my other problem?

i thought you could only autostart on OS9, but not OSX. along with that, i'd thought the autostart feature was a quicktime extension, which is normally turned off to disable a nasty Mac worm that was floating around.....

I'm pretty sure that's the case. Instead I just had the folder open when it burned so it'd open when you inserted the disc, but it didn't work. But I set a background image to the window so it looks nice, I just wish it would at least open the window.

The autostart feature is on by DEFAULT

It works in BOTH OS X and OS9 Trust me I've had HUNDREDS of copies made and it works. One must shut the autostart feature off manually and well most people don't even know it exist so there u go.

I have never seen an option to turn off autostart in OS X.
