    Sure, you keep thinking that.

Or they just took their iPhone to their carrier, got a SIM, and walked out.

    Nope. Possible.

    How? Which carrier?

The regional carriers, not the big ones. Anyone that doesn't have the iPhone "legitimately" will allow you to use it like any other phone on their network.

T-Mobile lets you use the iPhone with whatever plan you choose. I don't understand why he didn't notice that, given how huge they are. It's understandable he wouldn't have thought of the smaller ones.

Can someone start a petition to get this CEO fired for his stupidity and his lying?

If he delivers value for the shareholders, then they'll want to keep him.  If he fails to deliver value for the shareholders, then the problem will take care of itself.

Convincing customers to willingly pay more for less is, unfortunately, one very good way to continue delivering value to shareholders.

Had my original Iphone till march, bought an iphone 4 and took it to get activated, have the original unlimited $30 pan w/1500 texts included. The day after lost the texts, and they now want either 15 for 1500 or 20 for unlimited text more a month. And they will continue to do this to people because no one has done anything to change this predatory behavior and make it illegal. What else do they want??? They own 95% of all phone switches and stations, yes everyone pays them, even other phone companies. Just shy of monopoly.....
