    Meh....wait a few weeks.

Yep. New iPhone just around the corner.

Not to mention that Apple is filing to have the SIII added to the list of banned phones.

I don't think that the fandroids should be all that excited. Samsung is simply selling stolen property - which is nothing to be proud of.

Leaked from internal Samsung Corporate Headquarters:

"Company News Flash: This just in, Samsung sells more Galaxy S III's than Apple does! REPEAT We sell MORE Galaxy S III's than Apple. Projections show us to continue to sell more Android phones than Apple into the foreseeable future. We're back baby!"

That's not necessarily true. I'm a hardcore beer fan, but I certainly never drink the same beer all the time. I don't even always go to the same bar.

Pizza is probably closer to beer than it is to cell phones, anyway.

It's still the top at AT&T, exactly 2 years of the same design. :O

I think the article misses the point. It is a wonder how much iPhone had been sold on other carriers than AT&T considering this:
    LL

In short, it is selling even though nobody want to sell.

And which retailers are actively trying to get customers not to buy.

    That's why I said it.

I think it's interesting, though, that the invite went out today. It completely overshadows THIS story right here. No one but fandroids on Apple forums will remember that the S III outpaced the iPhone 4S today, because the 6th iPhone was announced just hours later.

    Some people like their plastic.

Wasn't the 3G/3GS made out of plastic? What's your point?

This is the definition of a click-bait article. Wikipedia should use this article as a prime example of the art. Fanboys, Fandroids, iHaters, and analysts are all over this even though everybody knows the end result.

Uh-huh. So where are those "Apple is Goliath to everybody else's David" trolls when they are proven wrong?

They'll just say that David has slain Goliath. Ignoring that another Goliath is standing behind him, tapping him on the shoulder.

I want to work at Apple Corporate. I so want to work at Apple Corporate. Preferably medium-high up. Walk into an AT&T store, hear this tripe, and then just explode at the guy from across the room, walking ever closer.

Why are you ranting hysterically about AT&T?

Doesn't it specifically say "Verizon store"?

Maybe we can get Crispin Glover to play you in the movie...similar temperament, I hear.

Every time I start thinking I'm an Apple fan boy I just come here and read a few comments...especially ones by certain "moderators."  I'm completely prepared for the bashing I will receive, BUT...this is the first time I've ever had a little bit of phone envy.  However, my envy is only on the hardware side.  The GS3 is a good looking phone.  I would seriously consider it over my iPhone 4S if it ran iOS and that makes me a little sad.  IF all the leaked photos are accurate and the new iPhone is simply a stretched version of the 4S then I will be extremely disappointed and I know I won't be alone.

Now, in order for Samsung to sell their latest FLAGSHIP product, they have to pay these slimy cell phone sales reps $25 a phone as a SPIFF. Hardly a good business practice for what is supposed to be great product.

I think it's biggest selling feature is that its' got a big screen. THAT'S IT.  That's all it has.

Other than a big screen (not retina class) the OS still has problems with 4.0.4 and 4.1 is not yet out for it.  At least for the Sprint version.  I'm sure all of these slimy reps that are pushing Samsung products are nervous because the impending iPhone 5 announcement and usually when Apple announces a product, people line up to buy one but they typically line up at Apple Stores rather than the cell phone stores.

    certainly an interesting situation.

Just for the record, I HATE going into Cell Phone stores.  The sales reps at these stores are typically kids right out of school acting like they know everything and they are typically slime to work with.

I always thought the cell phone industry was trying to figure out how much to charge and they are worse to deal with than the cable/dish companies.

Thank God for Apple Stores where I don't get products rammed down my throat.  At least they aren't paid on commission and are paid to sell the right products.  I've had Sales Reps at Apple try to sell me on less expensive products because that's all I really needed, I didn't feel like they were trying to push the most expensive product on me.

With these cell phone stores, I feel all they want to do is push a particular product on me and I can smell their little $25 SPIFF mentality.

For those cell phone reps out there, don't FORCE a product down someone's throat that they weren't asking for in the first place.

Interesting... Do you have a link for this, or any citation?

I still don't get this whole "customization" issue. My iphone does exactly what it's supposed to do, maybe I'll put a picture of my kids on the front, or if i really want to get into it, i'll do a custom ring tone or two! It takes very good pictures, siri works well most of the time, music:self explanitory, same with games and utilities. Do android users really spend that much time "customizing" thier phone? If they do, i suggest they look around and spend some time in the real world! They just might like what they see!!

People just want the iPhone 5, that's the reason behind the decline of sales. All the people who bought an S3 are gonna wish they had waited it out, but no you joined the dark side, bastards.

Yeah... I don't understand the UI "customization" issue either... it just works intuitively, why screw around with it...   maybe they were (are) deprived as little boys that didn't have an Erector Set...

If they were really serious about "customization" they would buy or write apps.

My thought exactly, my co-worker have a galaxy S III. Nice phone, very very plastic feel. Compare to my 4s, the Quality built is lacking..... But i am so envious of the screen size... Apple, the next iPhone screen size must be bigger... are you listening Apple, yes bigger is better!!!

This certainly isn't a surprise considering a new iPhone will be announced soon and Samsung + carriers have been marketing the Galaxy S III like crazy. I'd be more surprised if it wasn't #1 to be honest.

Except one thing, it cannot do phone calls as well as other phones as the call quality is below average.

If you're going to lie about Apple, at least post links with proof.
