Guess I should be honored that an 'Apple can do no wrong'-er is saying this.
I know you mean it sarcastically, but even Apple would not claim they can do no wrong. MobileMe was a disappointment to Apple at launch, even though I liked it. PowerMac G4 Cube. FCPX was panned at launch, but now I hear very positive things about version 10.0.5. But nobody, not even AppleInsider is doing a story about that. iOS 6 Maps was not universally well received at launch--though I still think much of the complaining is bad press and schadenfreude from haters, rather than the result of actual negative experiences using Maps for every day search and navigation. Ping? What can I say about Ping?
Sure, Apple can do wrong, but you gotta admit, people hold Apple to incredibly high standards. Shitty or incomplete software releases ARE BUSINESS AS USUAL for, say, Microsoft. What did they used to say about Microsoft? "It's takes 3 releases for Microsoft to get anything right"? We don't even THINK TWICE about a broken version 1.0 from them, let alone write articles in the NYT about it. My point is, we don't judge Apple with the same standards as the rest, so it's very easy and visible for them to "do wrong."
You can buy them at the Little A'le'Inn gift shop near Area 51. It's not guaranteed anything built from those blueprints will fly, let alone travel transdimensionally.
I hope so- as I would definitely watch some movies on it. I really like the 16:9 on my iPhone 5. Picked up my wife's old 4S I gave to her mom, and it just seemed like the smallest home screen ever. Weird how quickly you get used to the extra real-estate.
I want the iPad Mini to look just like the iPhone shape- its be awesome in appearance. Either way- itll be gorgeous- IF it gets released. another 24 hours and we'll know.
So calling the 6th-gen iPhone the 6th-gen iPhone doesn't fly? What about calling the 3rd-gen iPad 'iPad 3'? That's wrong, too.
Come on, man. The only thing it can't be called is a designator it isn't. Though were I actually calling it iPhone5,1 or by its model number, that'd be stupid enough to warrant complaints.
Nobody knows what you're talking about now. The phone is the iPhone 5. Just give up gracefully, and call it by the real name, whether you are happy about it or not. You can seeth privately, but insisting on your nomenclature is just tiring.
Past a certain point I think you do more damage than good. Apple is big, has suppliers scattered across the globe and the press (including even the clowns at Gizmodo) are obsessed.
1). In a banning war between moderators who, exactly, wins?
2). Would the forum be habitable afterwards, or would the residual radiation be too strong for the rest of us?
The remaining moderators issue radiological hazard suits to users left behind in the carnage, based on the time-honored tradition of 'first come, ignored and handed out to the most important people anyway'.
The rest of it plays out like Matrix Revolutions, but with a coherent plot and better acting.
Maybe thicker sides on the bezel, since they can't even put their thumb comfortably on the mockup in the video without also touching the screen? And that non-finctional mockup presumably weighs less than the real deal filled with a battery, electronics, and made of glass and aluminum.
Tuesday's report cited an anonymous source who indicated the "round shape" of the new iPad mini may have changed.
I'm not a fan of the roundness of the mockups. They look more like the iPod Touch than the iPad:
The tapered version looks classier IMO. I do like flat sides though as it's easier to hit the buttons and insert the cables. I think the iPad 1 had the nicest appearance but the curved back does waste space. I'd like to see a design somewhere in the middle like the following (top):
It's flat on most of the back but the tapering doesn't go to the front edge, it leaves a sizeable flat side so that buttons can be pressed easily The curvature on the back can be more subtle than the iPad 2/3 so that it doesn't create hard specular highlights but rather have more of a matte appearance. Shiny metal looks cheap.

The argument is around that issue, as you know. This is the 6th phone, which no one will deny. That doesn't make it a 6th generation phone, no matter what you say.
And the discussion was what Apple would CALL the phone. You insisted that it wouldn't be called the iPhone 5. Most of the rest of us said that it would.
Argument over. You lost, we won.
Anything else you say about it is just sour grapes. You can argue until the cows come home, and you have, they're asleep now. But your arguments only make sense to you, and a handful of others. Therefor, it's difficult to understand why you insist in continuing to bother. You won't change anyone's minds, and it even seems as though Cook himself doesn't agree, goi g by what I heard him say in an interview in AllThingsD.

Agreed! So much agreed. They should have removed the curvy part for iPads 2 and 3, not the flat sides! They would have fit aesthetically with the iPhone, too. And your compromise mockup looks much like a MacBook Pro and makes me even rethink my "totally flat, dude" opinion for the back.

Bah! I don't trust it. She doesn't look like someone who could tell if they were real or not.

You're wrong, but I'm stopping here. Say whatever else you like. We can all just have a modest giggle at it.
Why is it that people with no arguments always end by doing this?
YOU'RE NOT WRONG. Neither am I. It's just that simple. You've offered no explanation as to why the 6th released iPhone isn't the 6th generation, and so that's all that is left hanging here.
Let's nail that down. Here's the definition of the word.
Specifically, definition 2. The production of something. Now, I'm sure it can be twisted and said that because production on the iPhone as a concept has happened continuously and simultaneously for multiple models since the iPhone 3G, we're still only on the "2nd generation" of iPhone. But bear with me here, because that's silly.
If it's "the production of something", then the iPhone is that something. And how many iPhones have been produced? iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4a, iPhone 4v, iPhone 4p, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5.
Looks like eight, dunnit? Soon to be nine. But not according to the names Apple gave. Which narrows it down a bit: iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5.

Can't we all just get along?

Would that look like the end of the third Matrix movie where the humans and machines arrive at a draw?

It's irrelevant now. Unless you're a masocist.

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that YOU can edit! First sentence.
Best get to editing. It's the sixth phone they put out, on which we agree. Since they make one phone at a time, that's the sixth generation. Deary me…
Bah! I don't trust it. She doesn't look like someone who could tell if they were real or not.
Well, they're both fruit.
Pistols at 500 miles.
It doesn't matter what some person wrote in Wikipedia. Since when is that a real definition? It's just as much his opinion as anything else.
