So that's how you are going to weasel your way out of that? Nice try.
Oh sure. But I have no advice to give that will help you.
Please explain to me how Black Berry and Window's OS phones are Android. Because they make up a percentage of that 3.5%. Please explain it I want to see your logic.
They entered the mobile OS industry when they heard Apple was doing the same ...
There is no proof of this. Google acquired Android 1.5 yrs before Apple announced iPhone and 1 yr before Schmidt joined the Apple board. Even if chronology was changed, there is no evidence that Google didn't enter mobile simply because they saw it as a natural step.

Yes, they slapped on multitouch after they saw iOS (but not immediately). Not sure if that qualifies as "as close as possible" but not going to argue relativity.

There is a difference between launching a competitive product/platform and waging a war. It is not in Google's best interest to beat iOS into irrelevance. If that was their goal, they wouldn't make Gmail, Maps, etc. available on iOS.
Is Nokia waging a war on Apple? Microsoft? HTC?
The only company that can be properly accused of this is Samsung.

I think Samsung has proven that, currently, it is a war between them and Apple.
Currently, Google still makes more money off iOS than Android. So it's not even clear they want to wage an Android v. iOS platform war.
