but this was obviously a fake ! it was intended to be a fake, to show us all how the original is a fake...
you can find the original back on the thread

DUH! I can't believe I got caught-up in that... heheh... I fell for it... it is SO obvious for another reason. Look at the table... the wood grain... the knot in front of the USB ports is the SAME knot as the one on the RED board (only flipped). How could I be so stupid to think that he(or she?) put THAT much effort into this.
sorry, but no photoshop here.. not even graphic converter, but here we go
look the direction of the shadows from the whole picture. on the top left, we se a southeast shadow..
but in the southwest tip of the ram slots we can se a opposing shadow.. something tells me that this is a fake.. total and utter (what does utter means after all?) fake.
Scott: That must be the foirst time I have ever seen you so...undecided

I really don´t care about other Apple HW than the `03 edition of the PowerBook so it isn´t wishful thinkink:
I really don´t see what you see. Yes there is a darker area under the ram slot but it doesn´t have to be a shadow from the board. It could be part of the table and even if it was a shadow it could be taht the light source is a lamp centered over the board (making shadows around the board.
PS: Why do all your posts have to have the words fake in them?
not only this was a fake, but the original is a fake also !

The original is not a fake. Apple contacted eBay to have it removed as it was their property. One of dozens of prototype designs that were seeded out. It is on its way back to Apple. Apple legal has spoken. Heads have rolled. Enough said.

I have to wager that this is a fake.
Here's why...
Crucify me if I'm wrong but, I know color alterations of images, and this has tell-tale signs of fakery.
Shrug. PS In the image I meant to say "six PCI slots."

FAKE! FAKE! FAKE!
I can site MANY reasons, but here are a few tell-tale signs in addition to what others have noted:

You may be right... I didn't take the time to look back through all the previous posts in this thread... could be fakes galore!

If it is a fake, it's the best fake I have ever seen during the last 7 years of using a mac.
And i've seen many fakes.
G-news
but I really don't care if its fake or not.. we should see by the 14th
