With Siri in iOS 7, the default voice has been changed to be less robotic-sounding. Users will also have the option for a male voice, and in multiple languages.
Siri also gains the ability to control more features on the iPhone. Sample functions include playing voicemails, adjusting brightness, and reading content from Twitter or Wikipedia.
Users will also be able to obtain Web search results acquired from Bing, and photos can even be searched by voice.

I'm planning on getting a 7th generation Corvette later this year, or next year.
Hopefully this is one of the Chevrolets slated for Apple/Siri support.
However, he did score points with me for color co-ordinating his shirt to match the OS X Mavericks theme.
Why is BMW not on in the picture?
Well, time to go with Mercedes.
Good thing I can change the voice to a male. I don't like the idea of a woman controlling my experience (as I hide from my GF when she read this).

Apple wants to you to go with Ferrari. I see the prancing horse
Its surprising that they didn't mention Audi or Land Rover but they did mention Jaguar which owns land rover. I hope they add support for the new Range Rover sport i really would like to have this feature in a new vehicle.
Tried it today... I guess that was for the last time.
Google Maps on my iPhone just blew that Apple application to pieces... There is not a single aspect in which Apple Maps is better that Google Maps
On iOS6, set it to English (UK); you'll get the male, set it to English (US), you'll get the female voice.
Tried to read your post today, I know that was for the last time.
Apple maps is all I use. Only time it steered me wrong was the first month it was out. Since then, flawless. Just got back to the States from Cook Islands and New Zealand and it guided our rental car on the most remote roads. I don't use public transit so don't miss that.
Bagging on Maps has just become another meme, like antenna gate.

Speed. Google Maps on iOS is dog slow and the touch interface is unstable as all get out. It has good data (though it has errors just like iOS) and has poor display of traffic flow data. Both are competent map systems and both are far from perfect.

That is odd, given that BWM just announced that they would support Siri across their entire line in 2014.

This article is about Siri not Apple Maps. Don't like Apple maps, Siri or anything else fine, just don't use it and stfu. Just because you have a very general opinion doesn't mean that you are right or that anyone wants to see or hear it.

You forgot the quote box. It seems you've posted a troll's post from a very long time ago.
Or maybe you're actually dumb enough to think anyone would believe this tripe.
Much more natural sounding voices. Reminds me of the AT&T voice here: http://www2.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php#top
I am glad Siri got an update, her voice was a bit annoying and too computeresque for my taste.
1) It's not a general opinion but a specific opinion.
2) I just said I won't use Apple Maps anymore: it sucks
3) My opinion is just as valid as anybody else's
4) Maps was included in the article as an addition to Siri (which I like)
5) If you don't want to see my opinion, don't read it
Hi Tallest,
what are the odds?
what are the odds that this one guy is actually smarter than all the so-called dumb guys who don't follow his gist, idea or opinion of the self-declared smart guy.
Zéro, none, zilch, niente

About something that has zero to do with what we're discussing.

Good for you; you're a liar, objectively, and we don't care.
3) My opinion is just as valid as anybody else's
"Hey, guys, I can lie all I want!" Nope.

The word "Maps" appears once. Worm(ing your way out of your trolling), meet bird.

No, don't post it where it doesn't belong. It's pretty easy for a human to comprehend.
