Uh oh, he's talking up integrated graphics. That doesn't bode well for discrete graphics on the 13" rMBP

Your point is what, bucko? It never had them before. Why would you think it would get one now?

My point, "sport," is many of us had our fingers crossed for discrete graphics this time around.

Oh, while Craig is talking about it, a point on OS X’s Maps that I don’t think I’ve shared myself yet:

FULL SCREEN MAPS IS WONDERFUL. It’s just a great experience. I’d love if Flyover let you angle down a bit more, but all in all it’s just FUN to do.

Don’t get caught up in me: you’ll end up making my own point instead of your own.

Oh, and why the heck would you have thought that? What indication would there have been for Apple to do that?

Look, they’ve commissioned Intel to do them a custom integrated GPU to blow away the power of dedicated ones. Just wait two years. I’m not joking.

    Also,

    FREEEEEEE

In all honesty Ireland merely made a guess in the same way analysts do but he never made an argument as to why it could be and how it would benefit Apple, developers and customers if they made it free.

PHEW. 15” still has a dedicated GPU.

Lower prices are great. Eventually they’ll kill the old models.

    Heck, they may already have.

And at $1999, they’ve definitely killed off the old models. That’s the price of the pre-unibody before 2008.

Upgraded components, significantly decreased prices.  Very nice.
