    Oh, while Craig is talking about it, a point on OS X’s Maps that I don’t think I’ve shared myself yet:



    FULL SCREEN MAPS IS WONDERFUL. It’s just a great experience. I’d love if Flyover let you angle down a bit more, but all in all it’s just FUN to do.

    Look, they’ve commissioned Intel to do them a custom integrated GPU to blow away the power of dedicated ones. Just wait two years. I’m not joking.

    In all honesty Ireland merely made a guess in the same way analysts do but he never made an argument as to why it could be and how it would benefit Apple, developers and customers if they made it free.

    Lower prices are great. Eventually they’ll kill the old models.

     

    Heck, they may already have.

     

    And at $1999, they’ve definitely killed off the old models. That’s the price of the pre-unibody before 2008.
