What are you talking about? AI members are the most pessimistic breed of humans known to man!

What I want to see, is for Apple to split the PowerMac G4 line into two specific product. They already done a rackmounted server variation of the PowerMac G4 with the Xserve. Why not do it again?

Personally, I think that the users are probably divided into this line:

    - Server users

    - Professional users that need a lot of PCI slots

    - Power users

The current PowerMac G4's case is quite nice, and personally, I see no need to change its basic design. It probably receieved some upgrades on the interiors though.

Now... What I think that a new PowerMac model should appear is one that is designed for the power users. When the PowerMac G4 Cube showed up, it seems to be the one for these users. What it's lacking is a size for a full size PCI card. So maybe, a new PowerMac model would have one AGP slot and one PCI slot?

Hey with the Xserve Apple has fit a G4 in a 1.75" tall form factor, so add a inch or so in height (and thus put the drives over the board instead of in front of it) shorten the case up a bit in depth and you have (drumroll please) the return of the Pizza Box Mac! Here's my suggested lineup:

To PowerPC and others looking at their crystal ball: Never ever we will see a 1.13GHz or 1.26GHz G4 from Apple <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" />
