Man is it good to have these boards up again. I like what you have done with the place, and the boards seem very zippy. Let the rumormongering commence!
Just wanted everyone to know that I've found my way back.
Just too bad that the Nov 98 registration date doesn't still show up and mark me as the (once again) earliest registered AI forum member.
Got some catching up to do.
Someone please have a better disaster recovery plan in the works. My brain is withered on the vine, so to speak.

Nov 98 - earliest AI Forum registration you once saw!

I want to note that when I was backtracing some old URLs, I found someone who registered a day or two before you did. I don't think he was one of the people who was part of AI either. Just a normal poster. He only made like 3 posts though.
I actually started lurking AI around then (Nov. 98). and I registered in Dec, because I was keen to buy a new tower, and AI had the best scoop on the new El Capitan case and contents.
Ahhhh. Those were the days! Everyone was so full of spit and vinegar.
I never was a post whore though. I think I tallied only about 150 posts over the three subsequent years... while watching the likes of Applenut post, what... 100 times a day?

Thanks for the info.
That's why I say 'the earliest you'll ever see', because Nov 98, the way the old board would display the reg date, was not day specific and I thought I was about one of three registered just before December. And in December, there were quite a bit more people catch on and registered.
I'm just delighted to read all the posts, and participate in some.
Hey Scott, what have you been up to since you left MacNN?

I read some of the threads in OS X Gen from time to time. When something new happens. I've been busy of late thought. So no UBB for me. Now AI is back up
I used to post on occasion as Silverscreen but now that I have my Ti, I am no more fascinated by desktops' silverscreens
I didn't really thought that all the AI celebrities will be back so soon but I am happy with that : MacNN is interesting but spirit is not really as fun as here (how many flames about OS X on MNN boards Kate ?)
Oh, I see there is some French speaking (and Swiss!) people in here.
Et je constate que les contributeurs des forums d'AppleInsider sont presque aussi fadas que ceux des forums de MacGeneration.
