    Dual 800, 640 RAM (CL2)

    If I run altivec fractal carbon at color speed of 10, and maximum count at 4096 I get 2.4 gigaflops. but as I run the numbers higher and higher the increase in floppage is crazy, like keeping max count at 4096 but increasing the color speed to 100 I get 4.5 gigaflops. I haven't run it at full color speed and max count yet but I have seen 8.5 gigaflops at I think 32,000 max count and 100 color speed. Mind you this I have been running this at the same time I was typing this and running about 5 other proccessor intensive apps (VirtualPC, itunes, etc.).

    G-Dog run Altivec Fractal Carbon as it came off the download WITHOUt anything else demanding running. Let's see what the top-of-the line can do.

    I got 10.5 gigaflops. This doesn't quite get up to SJ's 12 gigaflops as he said in July but it is still an amazing mark.

    378 MegaFlops on an iBook 500 CDRW...

    2.4 GFlops on a 733 G4 QS. I'll test it again without VPC running here in a sec.

    My Ti PB 667 gets 2.4 GigaFlops with the default options. I haven't tried it on my DP 500, but I will after I take my microeconomics final today.

    Gotta run!

    G3: FLOPs = 64bit precision

    G4: FLOPs = 64bit w/o AltiVec

    FLOPs = 32bit with AltiVec

    32bit precision is fine for:

    * Game playing

    * Funny little Benchmarks

    * Nothing else
