i know most people don't really consider graphic design "art," but here's some of my most recent stuff. all of these are school projects. the absolut ad was for a competition at school that the company sponsors. i got a small stipend as apparently they chose some of the works to showcase in a future ad. so, let me know if you see my ad anywhere.
sorry about some of the quality. i lost most of my originals in a hd crash, so these are just quick pieced together scans of my prints.
the coltrane poster isn't all me - the portrait was done by a guy named kevin neireiter, which was then taken into streamline and converted to vectors.
[quote]No, it's me mocking pretentious artist types who have the balls to "paint" a white canvas and then would actually say something like that and then have the idiotic elite suck their ass, swoon uncontrollably over it and take them seriously.

this reminds me of a funny story. in our intro to graphic design clas, one of our first assignments was to illustrate an oxymoron or something to that effect. there was a list of ones we could pick. so everyone's agonizing over how to do this. critique day rolls around and everyone has a pretty good solution. my friend mona stands up and flips back her acetate to reveal a pristine sheet of white paper, framed in a 2" black window mat, with the title "Intentionally Left Blank." she got an A. not because it took a lot of skill or anything, but she had a good process book to back up her design process, and show that it was the best solution to her problem and that she didn't just slap it together at the last minute.

She must have seen Ghost World. Hope she doesn't offend any "black" people at your end-of-term group show!
Sorry, I meant to type "blank" people since you were talking about a "blank" image.
In Ghost World, a character is in an art class and presents as her project an old poster from a restaurant that has a really racist image on it. Her art teacher appreciates this "art" because she thinks the more confrontational a project is, the better. At their end of term show, some black people get offended about the poster and.... trouble ensues. I won't give away the details because it has something to do with the end of the movie.
So, I was making a joke about a blank sheet of paper.... not offending "blank" people... and screwed it all up with my typo.
I'm in the process of generating all my logo designs and such for my Coperate Marketing Materials class... when it's all done I'll post it here. (Logo, Stationary, packaging etc...)
Hopefully it all turns out good since we're still fighting over a final logo to go with

oh pscate....I can't believe you put your 'self image' on your works. Are you addicted to yourself?

I dig your stuff, p, rockin' the casbah.
If I had talent, I'd probably use it.
Wish I had free time to make my own art. Can't post the stuff (renderings really) I do for work right now.
If ya got 3d glasses... put em on!
It's a still from an interactive 3d piece I'm working on. It's a bee made from genetic data from bees.

Stimuli, love the bee - wiish I had some 3d glasses. I used to have some in my old Adobe Design Essentials book but they're long gone
