You don't get sarcasm and you're on the internet on your own?

Why? Go back to the library man.

Maybe he/she works for a cable TV company.  In which case, if/when they lose their job due to people finding ways to steal cable, it will affect them and their family.

Look, I'm a cord-cutter too.  However, I do pay for the shows I watch in other ways (a la carte, Netflix, etc).  It's fine if you don't want to pay for cable because you don't like their terms of service, but it's theft if you still watch the shows and don't pay via other means.  Unless they are broadcast for free OTA (I have a digital antenna as well).

I know you don’t contribute to following the law, paying your bills, or keeping everyone else’s low.

And on that note, I am finished with this thread.

Ah, the good old “I’m leaving, therefore I’m right.” Which you said before but ignored.

I just disagree and I'm enjoying stealing

    Screw you, thief.

I am going with an OTA plan using a digital antenna. The log in credentials with the Apple TV are really more of a backup plan than anything. I'd gladly do an a la carte channel system through my Apple TV but no one bothers to give me that option. I'm also a big fan of the way CW does it with their app. I can watch full episodes of Arrow and Flash but they make me watch a lot more commercials than I would if I was paying for tv. That's a trade I'm willing to make.

You don't need a 'plan' for the OTA channels if you're getting them via a antenna.

To mention DVR technology in the context of a streaming system seems, IMHO, like asking for running boards and horse pulling attachments on a car.

In an ideal world I would agree. But the networks and programs I watch are not available to me on demand. If I don't record them and watch them at my convenience I would have to wait for them to come out on DVD, another dying technology.

I comprehended just fine. The word 'plan' was unnecessary, because it suggests that you have to sign up for a service.

If only words in our language had more than one meaning! All this confusion could have been avoided!

There wasn't confusion. I knew what you meant. I was just pointing out a tiny error in your wording. You can actually get a OTA channels plan from your local cable company. My intention was to help. Apologies if it seemed otherwise.

Cord-cutters denied by Apple. Again. I'm starting to get really disappointed with how Apple appears to be more and more in the pockets of Comcast and TWC.

Apple needs to get serious about this before they add many more channels ...

Totally agree! I won't know until it's revealed but I believe I understand Job's vision; a genre-centric Genius-like search engine and TV show aggregator. Apple TV employs the same old IOS app paradigm, cram them next to each other willy-nilly. This stale paradigm is why I prefer OS X over IOS. I think IOS and Apple TV both need a reboot.

    Not Apple, the cable companies.
