I think that's actually British if it's not US.

The pins don't look angled to me.

And it's definitely not British, it doesn't even have the right number of pins

What'd be the point?  You're necessitating that people use multiple cables, and I can't see any advantage over the current cables.

I wish American media would stop calling North and South America "the US".... there are other countries there, too, you know? :P

When you consider the cost of an IPhone, both the charger and earplugs are of very poor quality. I constantly need to replace both.

And this alleged new charger is a lot sexier than the current 12W.

You want to have sex with it?

I’d say I was shocked, but then I’d have to get reconstructive penile surgery.

I wonder if, with the right application of voltage, you could get the muscle to become locked in that state...

Thanks I couldn't remember what the British ones looked like. :-)

Definitely not Australian though.

Actually no he is right.

Those other conversations were in regards to the Continent which encompasses ALL of the Americas. However CoolFactor was specifically stating the US which is largely North America, Hawaii, and Alaska and is NOT Central or South America as these are not states of America.

All I would like to see is a U.S. version with pins that fold into the device, similar to iPad and MacBook adapters. It would be much more comfortable in a pocket.

That's true. I simply remembered those threads because of his post and had chuckle upon remembering techstud.

I think that is fake, Apple usually does the writing as an embed into the plastic molding. The Chinese copies usually just print this.

Well, apple has been pushing thunderbolt over USB lately, mainly by putting more thunderbolt ports then USB on a device. So this cord would be just an option, as well future proof if the case apple updates IOS devices to PCI-e or similar flash out speeding USB, or the small possibility thunderbolt kills USB in a few years.

So obvious this means 5.5

A 4.7 screen would not need a more powerful adapter.
Only a 5.5 screen which is 80% bigger than a 4.0 screen.
Not neccesarily, a 4.7 inch would have a battery around 7.5 watts(it's still not assured) so a 1.5 amp charger could be with both, who knows, we know the devices are out, just the charger isn't assured yet...
