Looks faked to me. I say that because the inside looks machined. i don't think apple would do more than test the design that way. They wouldn't/couldn't machine tens of millions of them in mass production. There would maybe be a stamping process and then machining the ports on the sides. Seems like an elaborate hoax or someone got their hands on a prototype part.
We will see in 8 days.
I would tend to agree, however the HDD industry produces 150M HDD each quarter and the HDD case is cased and machined, and they can produce up to 200M cases per quarter so it not unthinkable for apple to machine 50M cases in a quarter.
I find it hard to believe that it's anything like 10% in use, just judging by my experience on the bus every day. You have one Gomer up front (These are always the guys who hog the front seats—correlation or causation?) who pulls out a huge slab and holds it up to his head vs. 30 or 40 people rolling their eyes and exchanging smirks behind their back. So my guess is 2-3% at best.
The 5"+ screen size market is growing each and every single year. This is a trend not a fad. Do some research before you spout off incorrect information. It's not that hard to do a simple Google search and see reports saying this.
So my personal observations, which were all I was talking about, are "incorrect information"? Feel free to bugger off. It's a trend because that's what the Android OEMs are offering—in the top 10 or 20% of their range anyway. The vast majority of their phones are smaller. People buy them because they want a "smart" phone for free or $50 or $50 and another one free, etc., etc. Sure they're popular—people are shortsighted and the vast majority don't know any better.
As long as Android phones are subsidized so heavily, people will continue to buy them. And as long as Android is the inefficient POS it is, they'll need large screens to hide humungous batteries. That's what started the "trend" in the first place. They'll still get laughed at on the bus.

Citation?
Not really. They ought to be equal.
Which you continue to be unable to elucidate.
How about you stop quoting numbers that have been proven wrong, ‘kay tiger?
