Oh, good. We thought the pages and pages of reports from users having problems were indicative of a software problem, but now that we know YOUR system is working we can put it to rest.
Thanks for the helpful input.
This is not very helpful. Most people won't be reporting success. Only the failures tend to report things. Lots of people have issues. Lots of people DON'T have issues. As I said, 8.0.2 and 8.0 work fine with our VW Sportwagens except for one small issue that is not worth worrying about. YOU may have issues, but lots of people don't. Yes, Apple needs to look into it and fix whatever issues there are (probably including working around dodgy auto manufacturer BT implementations in some cases I am guessing). But that does not mean that BT is broken in general. It is broken for your specific circumstances.
Sure, just totally gloss over the post I responded to, which claimed there IS no problem because HIS stuff works.
I didn't say anything whatsoever about my circumstances. Unjerk your knee.

I did not gloss over it. The guy never claimed there IS no problem. He said "The reports of massive car failures are bull." That does not say that there is not a problem, but in my mind, that it is not such a pervasive problem as being made out (which is that BT with car audio systems is unequivocally broken [for all], which is what it is being made out to be by the doom sayers).

Okay, maybe I ascribed implied meaning to his post than you don't perceive. I'll wear that.
That said, how many users have to affected to qualify the problem as "pervasive?" I understand what you're saying, I just think you're reacting to outrage when none exists (one poster here notwithstanding). No one (except him) is saying the problem is universal, nor do I think it's being exaggerated. Just that it's an actual problem, not a made-up or isolated issue. The number of people reporting problems, ranging from relatively minor to fairly serious, just in this thread alone is enough to indicate that it's very likely not a just a few users here and there having trouble with it.
I have the same problem with my 2013 Honda Pilot. I was on chat with Apple Support for an hour or so. No help. My iPhone 5s with iOS 7 worked just fine.;
I'm having issues when connected to BT with 8.1 on my iPhone 6 series. I didn't test BT with 8.0 or 8.0.2 before I updated to 8.1 in the foolish thought that I'd get access to the ?Pay SW.
Anyway, my voice calls are very clear when used as either a regular phone or speaker phone, but there is an aberration when used via BT. This does not happen with a different iPhone 6 over BT, so this is either an issue with the 8.1 beta or an issue with my iPhone's HW. The former seems more likely so I'll just deal with it until 8.1 is official.
PS: Yes, I've turned it all off/on, reconnected, etc.
Was this confirmed with iOS 8.1 beta 1 or 2? I am still looking forward to the iOS 8.1 update on Monday. I can care less about the new features, but I just want some of these connectivity bugs to be resolved.
BTW, iOS 8.02 made the original iPad mini noticeably sluggish compared to 8.0. So, some speed optimization is welcome on the iOS 8.1.
My iphone 6 arrived on 10/28 with iOS 8.1 already updated. I cannot pair it with my 2013 Mazda3. The car will continually search for the bluetooth, and the iphone does not even recognize the car. I followed everyone's advice of doing the reset on the phone, and it still will not pair.
hi if you are having issues pairing to bluetooth with your parrot device with iphone 6 or plus just delete all existing paired devices this will then let you pair your iphone 100%.
I have a 2014 BMW, and since purchasing it neither my Iphone 5 running on IOS 7 or my iphone 6 plus running on IOS 8 will connect via USB. Bluetooth is fine, but the car doesn't recognise my phone at all whether using the Apple or BMW cable. Therefore I cannot play any music - any ideas?
It is an undeniable fact that BT support in iOS gets progressively worse, not better, with each OS update.
Period.
If someone at Apple would like to challenge that assertion, please do so. Otherwise, it is a FACT that Apple pares down BT support to promulgate its accessory licensing program. To wit, my Alpine deck worked wonderfully with iOS7. Now, if I touch the metal part of my phone with my hands, BT transmission cuts out.
Same deck, different phone, different OS. What changed?

Try toggling through "airplane mode". Seems to help with 2014 Audi. Even with latest update 8.1.3, BT connection is still not as stable as prior ios. It's a hit & miss for me, but only 20%+ time in the morning, I have to switch on/off airplane mode to get the BT connection.

Wow, still problems? Just glad our two 2013 VW Sportwagen TDI have had no real BT problems ever with any of our phones and iOS versions... Need to tell Audi to talk to VW

Strange definition of "fact"
My experience has been totally opposite. NO issues at all with BT and our 2013 VWs. Ever.
I am not saying you don't have issues. I am just questioning your conclusions as overarching facts.
Well, I have 8.1.3 and still no fix. Jeep customer service just told me that "Apple is refusing to sign-off on the software upgrades for Uconnect". Does anyone know if Apple has made a statement about this? Both companies are leaving their customers without service.
I have a Honda Pilot 2013. My iPhone 5 worked without any problems. I now have an iPhone 6. Unfortunately I dropprd it soon after I got it, shattered the screen. Now fixed. Using the Bluetooth function for calls and the Bluetooth consistently drops. The iPhone has IOS 8.13. Any fix coming?

We have 2009 Routan with no issues on iPhone 5S. I rarely drive this car, so can't comment on how it does on iPhone 6.

This makes it sound like the issue is associated with the hardware, not the iOS. This would be even bigger problem in the future on iPhone 6 users.

Samething happened to me.
This how I fixed it.
In your iPhone, go to General -Reset-Reset All Settings
Remove the old bluetooth connection with your phone in car audio
Restart both car audio and your iPhone
Reconnect
Hopefully it should work now

Unfortunately, iOS 8.1 did NOT correct the problem of calls terminating when using Bluetooth and SIRI. Has it corrected it for anyone else?

8.1 did not fix it for Acura RDX - this is miserable!
