The watch flows very nicely with her and her outfit.
I bet women will buy several bracelets to match their various outfits.

It's very attractive to me. The first time I saw it I almost sat up from my bed (I saw the keynote at night). This is pure genius. The kind of design you know will never comes out from Android camp. Of course how intuitive it is, is beyond my guess at the moment. But it's extremely stylish.

I had the same reaction. I saw the pictures here and elsewhere before I watched the keynote. The first one I saw was the stainless steel one with the expandable bracelet. I said to myself: "I don't know what it's going to do, but that is one beautiful artifact." Of course, that guaranteed that the Fandroids were going to gag on it.

Why mention a supermodel and then not post pictures of her?

That might be true but the home screen will be the icon of Apple Watch, not watch faces, so it's very important.

EDIT: I don't remember what the home screen of Android Wear looks like. That shows how bad its design is.

Pretty sure the pre-orders for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus go live in China in a little over a week, not five weeks ago.

It's crazy how hardly anyone thought to position the "smart watch" as a fashion accessory, and now it seems like such an obvious, natural choice. That's the Apple magic still in full swing!

Props to @SolipsismX for the pics. She looks very nice and friendly - something most supermodels lack when they are posing. Of course, the one thing I don't like about the supermodels is the lack of breasts - too small for my liking.

I am not asking for silicone watermelons, but at least some nice natural grapefruit, or mangoes...

On Topic: I just can't wait for the watch. I really, really want one.

OT: I just saw an account called 'Solipcyst' - looks like you got a troll stalker Soli! Not as many as TS though..

I'm guessing the cover will use butterfly with the time instead of the home screen which only appears to select a new app.

That's an old one. I think there are more if you start with slop for sloppy.

I get that, but that Home Screen didn't didn't pull me in. But as I eluded to earlier I have a feeling Apple testing many, many options before deciding on that Home Screen as the best all around solution. If every time you depress the Digital Crown it appears I doubt they would take it lightly. Also, and perhaps most important, none of this minuscule issues I've noted as a personal dislike for the SW and HW are deal breakers. I've also seen nothing that would be a deal maker so I guess I'm in limbo; likely until I can see more of what it can do and give it a test.

From what we've seen so far for Apps, and seeing how giggly girls of all ages get when using clever Emojis... I'm betting the hand drawn Emoticon Chat is gonna be right up their sleeve :smokey: <<< me too!

Note: oh the pictures I would've liked to have posted of Coco Rocha, Karlie Klass... and JLaw (no! Not those!!!!) in my post yesterday. But now that I know it's not frowned upon... hmmmm... always a next time.

    1. I missed that Instagram screenshot post.

    2. Then I won't post a picture of my significant other - a true redhead.

If they do this and sell several models each of distinctly different design, then they can get people to buy several of them. If they come out with new designs regularly, and by name fashion designers/houses, then they'll get people to buy them regularly. Among all the tech brands, only Apple has the cachet to branch into the fashion realm. They should take advantage of this and open up a completely new market to expand in. They will own this segment for years. What brand smart watch do you imagine fashion houses will want to be identified with on the pages of Vogue or on New York Fashion Week? Samsung, Google, Microsoft, or Apple?

A glamorous looking girl (on the cover, not in the other pictures of her posted here).

Apple seems to be tackling one of the key social barriers to adoption of a computer watch, the social stigma that it is too geeky. They are spending money and working with the movers and shakers who decide (well, influence) what's fashionable. Samsung doesn't seem to have tackled this problem or even realised it exists.

I'm certainly not going to second guess or pooh-pooh years of effort from a company that has an excellent track record in fashionable electronics, but I personally do not like the look of the Home Screen.

I don't like it much either although in most cases, the watch face would actually be blank:

    2000

With the zooming in and out icons, you can't set a background like with the iPhone. Plus black helps save battery life as the pixels are off with OLED. A background would help you personalise it more.

I can see where the comments some reviewers made about it being masculine come from when you compare the bottom left image to the bottom right but other reviewers said it looked too feminine and the rose gold with the red strap along with the colors on the home screen is definitely more feminine. In some views it looks bulky, in others, it looks like a standard watch - there are two sizes so some will be wearing the larger model when the smaller one would look better:

    2000

I think the whole home screen design is wrong from a functional standpoint. It seems as though they tried to figure out how to allow you to rearrange apps without having to swipe loads of pages so they dumped them in a giant zoomable grid but are people going to enjoy twiddling the crown and panning on a regular basis to find the apps they want? I don't think so and I reckon there will be a lot of accidental presses. Imagine trying to get to the music player app in that huge jumble of apps. The circular route with a fixed layout like the iPhone might seem harder to rearrange but it's not because you have way more options. You could have an infinite spiral into the watch face and you would drag apps forward and back in the spiral or assuming the clock is centered, you can have apps rearranged by tap-holding and tapping an app shifts it to the middle over the clock face, you then simply run round the bezel to the right page and tap it off where you want. There's also no thought required with that layout when you need the watch back as it's in the middle all the time no matter what page you're on.

Ive's statement about it moving away from consumer electronics is odd considering it starts at $349 but I guess that adds some weight to the idea the gold one will be far more expensive.
