Oh my f.... gosh, that is the single funniest thing I have ever read. It really does get funnier every time it's written. Even though it's been idiotically spouted in every single thread in the last month, it just hasn't lost its comedic value.
You should do stand up. What I mean by that is you shouldn't post on here.
I totally agree and was just about to say the same thing. It got old the first couple of times it was said but now that we're on thousandth time it's down right ridiculous. STOP already!
My iPad Air finally arrived today. I like the looks but not much has changed from the previous one, sure it's a little thinner and lighter but nothing really stands out. I had already upgraded my older iPad to iOS 8.1 so their wasn't really anything of interest to test their. It's faster on paper but again my previous one was fast as well, never ran into a situation where I felt I needed more power but that has a lot to do with only being able to run one app at a time. The display is defiantly nicer than the Air. The dual speakers sound better as well than the Air but I still have to give it to the Kindle HDX in that department, as the sound is just warmer and a little louder. The only thing that was really exciting was the addition of 2GB of memory, which I immediately tested by opening up Safari and 10 tabs, 4 of which were forums, I typed a paragraph in each of the forums and minimized Safari. Nope, the tabs still refreshed upon coming back and I lost what I wrote in the forums. However, when I tested Chrome, Maxthon and Dolphin the forums kept state, finally, yay. I think Safari just has some sort of auto refresh function in their regardless of the memory size. Which is fine as I use Chrome, just wish I could set it as my default, if MS tried to pull the same crap you guys and the entire internet would crucify them, but for some reason Apple gets a pass. Anyway I use Chrome instead of Safari because I can use it on; OSX, iOS, Android, Chrome OS, Windows and Linux, keeping all of my bookmarks and passwords. I also tested my beloved music creation apps, all ran without a hitch, I did notice that touchAble, a customizable remote for Abelton did seem to run a little faster.
I've decided to JailBreak this iPad so I can install OS Experience, which will give me much better multitasking capabilities, than I will be able to fully utilize the A8x and the 2GB of memory as I will be playing sound from 3 separate apps while controlling Abelton with touchAble all at the same time, I will defiantly be taxing the system than. Without anything to really push the system though, like running 3 or more apps at once, I really don't see any reason to upgrade to the new iPad Air 2 if you already have an Air, it's just a waste of power and money. Those who have an iPad 2 or 3, defiantly, buy one, absolutely, positively a must buy than.
I propose (although cannot know for sure) that the suggestion was that reviews and comparisons use some of this (arguably) more useful data.
- Performance/GHz or Watt could show efficiency of the processor; clock speed and number of cores are commonly quoted without qualifiers (although benchmarks could be sufficient).
- Battery life/battery capacity could again show efficiency rather than the pure power capacity or "hours of wifi browsing" figures we currently use. It would rely on a controlled platform-agnostic battery life test, which probably would be sufficient if not for the obvious practical disadvantages of having larger batteries.
- Graphic performance/pixel would level the playing field for phones and tablets with higher resolutions than Apple devices, although what exactly constitutes a pixel is arguable on oled displays.
The problem with all of these measurements is that the numerator has to be benchmarked whilst the denominator is (ostensibly) a fixed value. Less-technical publications tend to quote the denominators as +/-s for the compared devices (usually to Apple's detriment) whilst places like anandtech purely benchmark without qualifying whether the components are (in terms of energy usage, quality and efficiency for eg.) comparable.
All these figures attempt to gauge how definably "good" components are in concert rather than individually, and attempt to take into account whole systems (including software) rather than the simple benchmarks or tech specs publications produce/cite.
I cannot see a decent reason to be so rudely dismissive of a genuinely interesting idea.
I cannot see a decent reason why anyone should give your (sometimes ridiculous) opinions any respect given your obvious disregard for others.

I have a lot of respect for others, I have no doubt this info would be interesting but it was the way you posted you request that got me. It sounded more like a demand than a request, a simple please would have gone a long way or simply requesting for someone to point you in the right direction. All of this info is obtainable with a little research,, did you even try to find it yourself, how about starting the list yourself, this is what I found so far, can someone help me fill in the rest. We are a community not a research firm, we work together to find our answers. If I came off as a jerk than so be it, but maybe next time you will be a little more aware as to how you ask for things and you would defiantly get a better response from me.

What are you talking about? *I* didn't ask anything of you and *no-one* asked or needed you to be a "jerk" or anything resembling one. Why not address the point made rather than defending your ridiculous responses as serving "the community".

Some MacRumors users are complaining about feeling a vibration when playing video/audio. I'm sure that will be the next "gate".
Some MacRumor users complain about EVERYTHING. Though Obviously, some loud sounds of specific frequencues that enter in resonance with the size of the tablet could possibly make it vibrate (though I haven't seen that myself).
I'm not too surprised that you haven't seen it.
Guess you might have heard it, but aren't telling us.
Why, oh God why, would a person bend a perfectly good iPad Air 2 to make some silly YouTube video. Fine, great job, you've proven that with enough force you can bend an iPad, what do you expect from a device that is so thin, idiot. This isn't the only one either, these videos are popping up everywhere. Where are these people getting the money to do this from, I'm pretty well off but I would never waste money like this, especially when I could donate it. These videos are actually pissing me off now and not because it's an Apple product, I never get mad at stupid shitt, but this, the guy deserves to be thrown on the streets without any resources for at least a month.

No need to be an ass about it.

Has anyone bought and used the iPad Air 2 Smart case? I have the new iPad Air 2 cover and it is much lighter than the iPad Air version.
What I want to know is if the iPad Air 2 smart case is lighter than iPad Air smart case as well?
