Dunno about all of you, but there has been so little talk about Tokyo and possible rumors that I almost forgot that its tomorrow. First time thats ever happened to me. What do you think? Is this just going to be a rehash of MWSF?

I expect a personal introduction of the iMac to Steve's Zen-Brothers.

Anything more will be cause to celebrate.

To be honest I don't keep up with the Mac World shows until they happen.

Unfortunately, the evolution will not be televised. Or streamed.

This one's going to be beyond the rumor sites. Way beyond.

Actually, I read somewhere that someone saw the 10GB and 20GB drives at CEBIT and said they were simply multiple platter versions of the 5GB drive which made them much thicker and, therefore, probably unsuitable for iPod use.

I have read here that they are only a hair larger and the iPod would practically be the same if they were incorporated.

When will the keynote take place - I read 9:30 Tokyo time. What's that in US time? Will we see eventual announcements as soon as tonight?

the 10GB is definitely the same thickness as the 5GB. originally the 20GB was listed as a few mm thicker but has since been revised and is now listed as the same thickness of the 5GB.

Well there IS this teaser to get our hopes up for something "new" coming at Tokyo...

    <a href="http://www.wired.com/news/mac/0,2125,51187,00.html"; target="_blank">http://www.wired.com/news/mac/0,2125,51187,00.html</a>;

    ... not sure if it means much though. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

I'm not saying I have inside sources or anything, but the numbers 1, 0 and 2 should have some significance to you people. I think we'll see it in a finished or near-finished form, and shipping a lot sooner than most of us think. For this reason, I am interested.

I was also wondering about the time difference, since Tokyo is about 15 hours (I forget exactly) ahead of Chicago...the updates will start flowing tonight hopefully and not tomorrow morning (our time).

Err...no it won't. Check out graphite's comments. Those are the correct times.

And Amorph, if I could give you a prize for that response, I would.

Thank you for clarifying this once and for all. What do you think the chances are we will get these in an iPod tonight?

I wish we would see a camera too, but I am not holding my breath...if I did I wouldn't live to see if it came out!

i might be tempted to fork over the dough for an iPod that has that much HD space on it. for the same price.

'course i'm sure they'll charge more, but we'll see.

the 5 gig model for $250 - $299, and the 10 GB for $399 sounds about right.
