What?  You mean like Coach, Prada, Armani, Burberry, etc?

Could you elaborate on your comment? Meaning, are you saying those high-end brands don't assemble in China or they do?

They do make some products in China.

For example? Can you name any $5k+ watches by any of those brands?

Why? You asked if any other high end brands other than CE used China for manufacturing. Not if any watch manufacturers used China.

Other high end luxury brands use China for manufacturing and it does not impact their cachet because the brand is stronger than the country of manufacture.

And I'm asking for examples about these high end products that have Made in China on them. Why are you skating around your comment? Do you have any examples or not? This isn't a "gotcha" question, I'm trying to get a PoV of what high-end brands that aren't CE-based are still coveted despite being made in China. Apple surely had to answer this question if they want to make China the home of all ?Watches.

These are fashion brands so they obviously don't make significant numbers of either CE or watches. So why ask about 5k+ watches?

Don't pretend that you don't know what Coach, Prada, Armani or Burburry is famous for. It's not watches.

They use Chinese manufactures for part of their product lines and the brands are obviously still coveted. And they are obviously luxury brands.

Louis Vutton does not but they make some stuff in Romania. Which isn't exactly Italy or France either.

If you care about watches there are a few high end (as in 5K+) watch manufactures in Hong Kong like Memorigin just like there are a few US ones. These cater to the Chinese market and aren't that large but they do make their own movements. Even good Tourbillon ones (probably equivalent to medium high quality Swiss ones but inferior to the best Swiss movements).

They have some international sales but cater to a more Asian aesthetic. I like Memorigin's Tourbillion Military and it's reasonably priced at $2.5K and the Snake Zodiac watch which is $4k.

Neither of which is a copy of a Swiss design.

Where Apple will assemble the watches is less important than the fact that Apple is the brand. Just like for Coach, Prada, etc that make stuff in China.

I only know them as high-end brands, but don't know to what extent their product lines reach. You seemed to be very adamant in your knowledge so I ask you to explain. Why are still failing to do so?

And I'm sure there is some transistor made or ore minded in China that eventually gets used in a Rolls Royce Phantom but how does that make it a Chinese product. Again, you seem well versed in these companies so why not pop over to their website and grab the link of the products that say Made in China on them. You made this sound like a simple and obvious thing so why are you now having so much trouble doing it? You're making me lose faith that Apple won't be able to use China as their primary house of operations for ?Watch.

Because I don't buy handbags? Or women's fashion items except as gifts? And I usually do that by getting the sales staff to pick something.

I'm also not going to hunt down every sku for you.

Lol. That's not how country of origin works.

Because they don't have to list them on the websites. Just on the label.

Because you are too lazy to google "Prada Made in China"? Lol.

    http://fashion.allwomenstalk.com/high-end-brands-that-are-made-in-china

"The Wall Street Journal reports that about 20 per cent of Prada’s collections—which range from bags and shoes to clothes for men and women—are made in China. The Milan-based company manufactures outside Italy in other cheaper countries such as Vietnam, Turkey and Romania, according to the IPO prospectus."

Have you taken a look to the Watch Kit specification and documentation ?
Do it, and then we may discuss on the base of facts, not universally accepted speculations.
