If this is just an Air 2 with a bigger screen I don't see what the point is. For a larger screen iPad to work it needs better software and digitizer support, IMO.
Your opinion is the same with those fandroids: Stylus lol...It 's dead. Apple Stylus is your finger. Move on.

Well I think a 12" iPad would be mostly for productivity and I think creatives, like graphic designers, would prefer proper pen support, which is not their finger. And if the stylus is dead how come Apple has 30+ patents/patent applications for smart pens?
Even better, use a bluetoothe speaker. Sound is going to be much better than anything coming from iPad speakers.
I have the logitech boombox mini....love it. But the sound always feels more natural coming right form the source. I have to lay the speaker on my stomach, behind the iPad, in order to watch and hear a movie properly. If it's off to the side, it's distracting.
The extra speakers thing actually makes me believe it, because if someone was completely making up these specs I don't think extra speakers is something they'd think of.
TS...you enjoy snark and I won't get into that with you here. Whatever makes you happy. You might want to oil up your gears and try to follow along sometimes. We all love Apple and there are few whiners. We love continuous improvement. The first time I fired up a video on my iPad 1, I wished the speakers were both louder and designed better as far as the direction of sound.
Remember, Apple is in a wildly competitive industry. It's a great thing that they have both competition AND loyal, vocal fans that spur them on when they do well and criticize fairly when they miss the mark (see Marco Arment's recent blog about software issues).
It's a good thing. I love contributing to it. That's all myself and everyone here is doing.

Well, sure. So do I.
Thing is, they can’t really do that. The shape of the device and design of its internals necessitates speakers on the sides, and when they’re that small they can only reproduce sound so well, you know?
I’d love high-quality quadriphonic sound on an iPad, but is that really feasible?
I have an iPad Air 2 and an iPhone 6 Plus. When I am using my iPad, I wish it had the same display specs as my iPhone. When I use my iPhone, I wish it had the same processor and RAM specs as my iPad. The new iPad better have comparible PPI, contrast ratio, and color saturation as my iPhone 6 Plus!

so you have access to the specs for this potential device, then? otherwise how do you know what it has or doesnt have?
Better speakers make sense. Two of the primary users for the iPad Pro are:
1. Graphics designer who need more workspace
2. Those making on-the-go presentations.
The latter would love a better speaker system.
how would increased speaker placement make a presentation *on the ipad* better? either youre projecting, in which case increased stereo doesnt help, or youre putting this device in somebody's hands, and i doubt they will notice or be impacted by increased stereo when watching your sales pitch.

If Apple puts 4 speakers in new iPads, I will personally do a jig. This should have been done a long time ago. While they're at it:
* Make them go to 11
* Make them project the sound towards the human using it. Don't make me cup my hands over the corners anymore

If Apple really wants to put Microsoft's Surface 6 feet under this iPad "pro" will have improved software and proper pen support.

Someone needs to whirlwind through the iOS department and sack the B and C players. Then put the fear of God into the rest.
This can mean a lot of things.

Said no one, ever.

Then you’ll whine that they’re tinny.
Don't make me cup my hands over the corners anymore
Then you’ll whine that the iPad can’t even be held. Which would be the case. So they won’t be doing that.
This should have been done a long time ago.
They should be louder, and sound tinny as they are on my iPad Air 2.
The iPad can be held quite easily in one hand or two.
Sorry, TS.
Well, sure. But generally ‘louder’ in these small speakers will blow them out and ruin the levels.
Sure, but that doesn’t say anything about front-facing speakers, which they wouldn’t do.

It's still two speakers..just placed on opposite sides..which is how stereo speakers should be..
assuming landscape orientation. but then it wont be stereo when in portrait orientation.
You expect a convincing stereo soundfield with transducers less than a foot apart? I mean, what's your viewing distance?
agreed, all the complaining about stereo on an ipad is crazy. its the most casual of casual viewing...

whos their competition in tablets?
