I don't want to move to California.

And that's not even taking into account that everything there gives you cancer.

    FUEL CELLS BETTER

thats what i think apple has up its sleeve they are learning much with these data centers can you imagine an iPhone 6 with a tiny fuel cell lasting days weeks.   Easy charging no cords wow that's so apple

Fuel cells could be part of the future, but the technology is complex and has a lot of requirements.

My estimate is, judging the rate of news, that batteries are on (or over) a breakthrough point and will be the most important energy container in the near future.

Interesting considering it was rumored that the lead Apple employee on the car project has been meeting with Magna Styer.

It's a good time to be an innovator in the battery business! Do something interesting and suddenly you're besieged with prospects of buyouts.

If an employee signed a non-compete clause, poaching them could be illegal, depending on what they're tasked to work on and when.

Apple might want to leave Samsung with enough engineers to allow them to make the A9.

How that 64-bit stack going for Samsung?

There's still TSMC to make the A9, even if Samsung forgets how to do it.

In which case the Israeli company Storedot with their 30 secs full charge technology looks very interesting.

Right. Fuel cells are not all hydrogen powered.

Why do you have to have engineers at Sammyland for Apple to get the A9?A Apple is designing the chip and Samsung is its foundry for the chips/SOC. I guess you technically need some sort of manufacturing engineer and some QA control engineers but the term engineer is used rather loosely here. In Texas statute defines Professional Engineering Practice to be "summarizes that a "public or private service or creative work, the adequate performance of which requires engineering education, training, and experience in applying special knowledge or judgment of the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences to that service or creative work", is engineering.
