Apple is already an expert in battery design, construction, testing and manufacturing, since at least back from iPod days with flat pack Lithium Ions.
The new tech for Apple will not be "old Lithium Ion designs."
My guess is that Apple will use much safer, higher capacity more efficient technology like BASF just announced with their advanced NiMH techniques. Yup it may take 3-5 years to enter with a new battery into the market.
That is typical Apple behavior to get in early, beef it up, prove it out and then surprise the market.
Apple might want to leave Samsung with enough engineers to allow them to make the A9.
Samsung Engineers don't "make the A9" in any way shape or form. Apple engineers "make the A9" and samsung's chip fab "manufactures the apple designed A chips" nothing more. Actually now that I think of it I would probably say that samsung engineers because they have apples design on the a series chips probably rip off apples engineers designs of the A series.
Apple is poaching Samsung employees…proves Apple is going to start making crap copied from others, just as Apple poaching from Tesla means that Apple will start making an electric car.
Can someone please explain how recruitment via incentives is considered illegal and worthy of a lawsuit.
I object to 'poaching' with its connotations of underhand behaviour.

Sounds like this English-speaking independence-wanting Samsung employee wants a pay raise.
All Apple needs to do is teach them a course in Apple Ethics...
Maybe Apple sees batteries as a real opportunity now.
This could be very big.
All the more so now that Radio Shack won't be pushing them like crazy...! /s
Right. Fuel cells are not all hydrogen powered.
Honda know a bit about hydrogen fuel cells for cars. http://automobiles.honda.com/honda-fcv/

Troll hungry?
Troll hungry?
Solips just forgot the sarcasm tag.
Apple are in a tearing hurry to get better battery tech. They need to shave a few mm off the next iPhone and at least maintain current battery life!!
It's the lazy way out. Groom your own employees.
Be careful. He's no troll.
