    No.

Hopefully he's gone for good.  I think someone posted that he showed up on MacRumors recently, if you miss him that much.

You mean there are still people out there who aren't blocking brlawyer? Kudos to you, the pitiful trash and lies that this troll constantly spews has a detrimental effect on one's IQ.

In the future do us all a favour and don't quote the troll.

We all suffer the same. I have people blocked that others quote quite often.

I can't be THAT hard to modify the forum software so that quotes from blocked members just show up as a blank box. Then you'd have a true "block" list.

Nobody cares what the schlubs think; if the music industry bankrupts itself trying to run on an unsustainable ad-supported model then people won't have anything to listen to.

What do you think has been going on for the last, what, 50 years or more. Free music by this thing called am and fm radio all free and supported by ad's!!!. Yet the music industry continued to grow over the years. How can that be with people getting all that fee music, and later on copying that music into cassette tapes?

Tell me, what's the difference from streaming from fm radio or streaming from the internet?. It's the exact same thing with ad's for both!!!. There is none!!!

Kdarling is on MR as well, still pretending to be a touchscreen hardware engineer. Every once in awhile I ask him why he left here after several of us called him on it (I myself have worked with touch screens since the 80's when we used infrared LEDs and photo detectors in a grudge across the front of a CRT to detect touch).

This usually results in several private messages thanking me for the laughs from people who are also sick of him.

I tend to not block anyone, sometimes I like a good laugh.

Based on your logic Samsung can reveal Apple upcoming products because Apple is using Samsung components. It wasn't Sony's product/service and Sony's content is not the only one to be offered with this service. It was Apple's product and Apple is the one who should announce it.

I'm sure Apple is pretty good at contracts now and the ones they have with Samsung are sure to have a NDA. The Sony one might not of or it was written that the CEO could say something small the day before. If there was a NDA, Apple can call that in and recoup none of the losses they are going to suffer from this small statement.

Tim should tell Sony that their music will not be made available through their revamped music service if Doug Morris continues to work at Sony.

That would hurt Apple's service more than Sony would get hurt. If people can't listen to what Sony has, people may just not use Apple Music and use other services that can.

I think Sony would feel the pain much more than Apple.

It's one day. Everyone knows Apple's got a service coming. I think there's nothing to get excited about here, personally.

If I am not mistaken, when one book publishing CEO opened his mouth the same way a day before the first iPad event Steve Jobs removed their name from the Keynote presentation.  I am sure Tim will do the same with Sony.

I liked it when Steve metaphorically broke teeth and bones as reprisal for information leaks.

Hope they have a contract rate like Beats does. In Beats you can do a year for $100...cheaper than $10/month.

Would consider paying for Apple, but would need to have a differentiator, like the ability to keep 1 album a month, or exclusive content.

Well it really doesn't matter as they are both coming or being announced tomorrow. So no worries on either side. It's also just one freaking day. It doesn't matter at all.

    Highly doubt it

Will this streaming service give us access to anything we can currently buy on iTunes? Will the Beatles be included?

If Sony signed an NDA (and it's certainly reasonable to assume they'd have to), they need to feel the pinch for violating that agreement.

That's fine. I'll go with that. If there was one. It's the CEO of Sony who'll have to take responsibility for it. Like I said, it really doesn’t matter. Apple will still release it (which everyone said was going to happen) and Sony will have music available. Both parties win. Big deal.

This is what I want to know.

If I can pay $10 a month and listen to anything I want from the iTunes catalog (like building my own 100% custom playlists) then I agree buying music will die. I'd never buy anything again if I could pay monthly and listen to what I want when I want.

It will be kind of weird if Apple's streaming music service has a smaller selection of music than iTunes store does.

If that's the case then why does it need to be Apple?  Spotify can do that.
