tech wasn't ready for true multi-task 'years ago'.
if you wanted multi-task years ago you had to settle for a buggy/glitchy/choppy Samsung tablet.
You missed the point. A user of a iPhone 6 Plus that is passively listening to this as I have the stream on with a bunch of people aroundasaid this. It actually started a conversation and most agreed. Because they've heard about it already from Samsung advertising. That's the point I was making.
Someone that doesn't care about this conference and is an average user said this because it's the perception.
stop crying like a baby and buy an Air2 or Air3 or Pro (btw I own an Air1)
There's nothing wrong with Air 1. In fact I prefer it to the Air 2. Air 2 gets hotter, battery life isn't as good and I hate the audio vibration. I don't remember any of that with Air 1. And for what? So it can be a little thinner and lighter? Air 1 wasn't heavy.
Maybe it matters NOW only. However, limiting these to Air2 is considered BS to me. Give customers a choice at least with warning. I want to be able to see FT display while doing something else.
Really!? You want a bad user experience? The average person will not like it and have a negative effect on the Apple brand.
Ready my comment on Siri before? Did Apple eventually release Siri for older iPhone? I can see the same thing here.
That would be great and I hope it'll happen. Although I know that on my iPhone 6 Plus, having only 1GB ram sucks. All my apps always refresh when I go back and forth and I hate it. My Note 4 doesn't do that because it has more ram. For me that's a big deal.

I don't know why a person would own a Note 4 and iPhone 6+ at the same time. Again, one runs on Android, which is memory thirsty horse, one is on iOS. 2 completely different OSes. Don't you just get it? Garbage collector on Java run time reminds you of anything?
What a hilariously lackluster release after DED's article lambasting the comparatively major changes to Android revealed at I/O.
Edit: The split-screen multitasking is a big change for iOS, and a much-needed feature. Unfortunately it's not big news in the mobile world since Samsung has done this since 2012.
It's about gosh darn time. Took them long enough. Now I might be able to be more productive.
i do use my devices for work, primarily emails or safari. yet i can't really see myself split screening in order to be "more productive". what sort of use cases will increase your productivity?

Any word on which iPads are supported?
All iPads that got iOS 8 get iOS 9 but only Air 2 gets split screen functionality.
Siri needs an offline mode!!! So when you want to change song, it doesn't hang for a min before telling you NO.

Like Apple Map?

I'm actually looking forward to Transit and the battery life/performance improvements the most.
Everything else is meh.

Ah, good. Thank you.
Butt hurt already.

No, just telling the truth. I think this is a catch-up release. There's nothing at all that's new.
except it doesn't suck.

can you quote some posts from those people? because I've only seen that sentiment in reference to iPhone, not iPad.
