Comcast needs to be reigned in. They are a monopoly here in Philadelphia and take full advantage of it They purchased the company that originally was given the right to exclusive cable services by politicians that were helped by that company. It took the feds many years of work to dismantle AT&T, which was a benign monopoly compared to Comcast. It's definitely past the time for the feds to start the breakup of Comcast. They have worked vigorously to keep their monopoly and were able to stop even Verizon FIOS from being offered in Philadelphia for a number of years. Many of us are still waiting for FIOS as the viable option to get away from Comcast. I personally would pay even more than I do now to Comcast to be able to have FIOS in my home.
Respectfully and totally disagree.
Monopoly screws the consumer.
Balance is the best approach and monopolies are far from balanced !
Monopolies arise because of a lack of competition, not when there is too much competition. Historically, monopolies in the U.S. arise because of political intervention. That's the root of the problem.
If you are currently a T-Mobile customer, please call T-Mobile customer service and ask them to pass on your comments about this proposed merger to higher management. I've been a Comcast customer for years, because they are the only supplier of high-speed Internet access in my neighborhood. They have horrible customer service, awful policies, and the worst gouging prices. They are totally the opposite of what T-Mobile has tried to become in the mobile telecommunications industry. If T-Mobile does this, they will self destruct and we'll all be forced back to AT&T and Verison.
Not quite sure what makes you believe that you have the slightest beginning of a valid point here. Are they legally allowed to do what they did? Yes. Do they have a legal obligation to do so? Absolutely not. So they deliberately implement an intrusive policy that violates a person's privacy and right to treatment. You must be a seriously callous and uneducated person to be thinking that way.

PLEASE NO! Comcast is more like AT&T, and if they combined with T-Mobile, they would ruin the good things they have going. Ugh.

God please no.
If this happens I will bail so fast they won't know what happened.
Comcast must realize NOBODY on T-mobile has a contract. Unless we get grandfathered, I'd be in a Verizon store before the ink dried on the contract.
Pot is still illegal under federal law!
