    What you are asking for (simultaneous editing, tracking) can't be done with plain file sharing. Office Mac 2016 now supports OneDrive directly, SharePoint, and OneDrive for Business (SharePoint hosted on Office 365). If your company sets up a SharePoint server, in theory it should work. (How buggy it is, I can't say)
